So, I wonder. I talked to her and she called my Shep " Liara's Cerberus boyfriend " and the best part is that my Sheploo is with Ash from ME1 to ME3. I saw video on yt and the guy there was called " Commander who worked with Cerberus " or something like that. Apparently I had some import issue. But Liara never behaved like Shep's girlfriend. Anyone have/had similar problem?

All I know is that I am disappointed that, after getting her and Liara to chat, that she isn't tending bar on my damn ship. What better way to "keep an eye on Liara" than from there?

So, Aethyta doesn't call everyone Liara's girfriend/boyfriend after all? But why does she call that mine? This particular Shepard I'm playing now didn't romance Liara in any of the games! >.< It's irritaing. I don't even like Liara, why my Shep is considered her girl?
I really would like to know requirements for that linked scene.

I know how you feel. I was really confused when Aethyta called my Shepard " Liara's boyfriend " even if he was with Ash. Something must be wrong with import. Game also wrong imported my DLC decision from Bring Down The Sky. I killed Balak and he was alive in ME3 O.o

I don't know if this will help, but if Liara wasn't romanced in the previous two games, it's possible to start a new Liara romance in ME3 by telling her you're interested in her. Maybe someone picked that by mistake?
Or maybe it's because the player took too many Paragon interrupts during the Lair of the Shadow Broker mission in ME2?
These are conjectures on my part.

I'm pretty sure I didn't start Liara romance in the third game. I told her that she is a good friend and went on the date with Garrus.
Though your version of too many paragon interrupts in LotSB seems plausible. I took every one possible.
If that's the case, I feel sorry that I did that.It really ruined the moment for me. I didn't even listened to them talk after I told Liara to go and speak to father, was too irritated. Hope someone uploaded conversation on YT:)

I just had the same bug.
My Shep is seeing Ashley and still Aethyta mentions him as her boyfriend.

No, it's not. I asked my friend. He play as full paragon and he did every paragon interrupts and he still wasn't called " Liara's boyfriend ". And he wasn't with Liara either.Babe Mause wrote...

Before you saw her did you have a convo with Liara where she asks if she's one of the few counted among the people Shepard cares for? I assume, picking paragon here kicks in the relationship. I've had the same problem.
I'll reload the save in a minute and go renegade on the conversation and then see what happens.
*edit; reloaded save, skipped convo, spoke to Aethyta same "boyfriend" comment regardless. Must be a bug.

My Shepard romanced Jack in ME2 and no one in ME1. I had Shadow Broker DLC and did Paragon interrupts, but that shouldn't affect it in this manner. I mean, boyfriend?? There is also another bug I have..

When doing quest with Kasumi and a salarian spectre, everything is fine up until I visit the first terminal. Then, even though I am done with it, it still has blue square.
We need patch, soon. I can only imagine how many more bugs is there, I am just at the beginning of the game.

Not that it affects your 2nd or 3rd playthrough experience I'm sure.

According to mac walters, some people escaped the citadel when the reapers attacked it.

That's especially weird considering another problem is ME3 not recognizing that you and Liara already got back together in the Shadow Broker DLC if you did so.
On another note, somehow I managed to miss Aethyta's cameo completely. I talked to Liara whenever I was on the Citadel but I just didn't see Aethyta whilst I was there. That bums me out because I really like the character and was looking forward to reuniting her and Liara.

Aethyta is a bartender at the bar Apollo somewhere after Tuchanka (IIRC, may be wrong, maybe it is after Palaven and you should talk to her prior Cerberus coup). You should go to the bar and talk to Aethyta and only after find Liara and tell her to go and talk to the father.

Has anyone with the 'boyfriend' comment talked to her 'after' any of the time capsule cabin scene. I wrote it off as speculation by Athena's part by proximity to Liara, No I didn't romance her, but two people seen together can be mistaken for dating... Even if it is a glitch it's trivial.

I don't think she meant it like the relationship variant of the term. My femshep who was only friends with Liara got the "girlfriend" name and I just thought it was the "friendship" variant of the term and moved on.

Don't forget that you've all slept with Liara several times - mind meld rings a bell? - and as her mother she's rather protective of her offspring. In her eyes sleeping with her daughter might constitute a relationship...
