I remember hearing that keeping your LI through the games will be rewarded. Was there an actual difference between the ME3-only romance and the ME1-2-3 romace of the same LI?

Didn't play my Character which has Liara as LI yet, but I remember it being already hinted in the Shadow Broker DLC or atleast pointing at the plan to get a child. ( Or that was just me, I interpreted it that way though (

Dunno, I'd rather not think about it. Funny you speak of this, I just created a thread myself in relation to that. In my "cannon" game I just finished a few hours ago, I brought Liara (my LI) with me, and Javik. I thought both Liara and Javik died when I and the rest of the group during the last assault got hit by that last Harbinger strike. I decided to sacrifice my Shepard in order to R.I.P since that Shepard thought (well I thought, really) that Liara died, so no reasons to exist anymore, better just "die", control the Reapers, do my job and go join Liara "somewhere" (after-life, ya know).

Well that was until the end scenes when I saw Joker, LIARA and Javik getting out of the Normandy on that planet. Then I thought "ok... so... maybe Liara will give birth to one or more infants whom were conceived with Shepard, perhaps... but chances are Javik will do that anyway for the sake of survival..." gah... the thoughts, the horror. But anyway, I'm not sure really if she was pregnant, I'm 99% certain that it would have been mentioned by Liara herself in the game at some point if it had been the case. I mean... I hope... BioWare? Is... is that case? WAS SHE PREGNANT?

You forget that Asari are only female. All Asari children will still be Asari. So there can't be a 2nd Shepard or a 2nd Javik...

Oh sure I know hehe, I was just thinking about the continuity of any loved one's "personality" being part of the child. I could totally imagine little Shepard (Asari) going "I am little Shepard and this planet is my favorite in the galaxy" on Joker as gratitude for crash landing there of all places (could have been on Earth, kinda seemed a bit closer but ok Joker likes the extra challenge).

Yeah, well, unless you convinced Dr. Chakwas to squirral away some of your femShep's eggs, Kaidan is just out of luck in finding a way to spawn a little Shep eventually with some kind member of the crew.

in LotSB Shepard can say they'll have lots of little blue children in response to her asking what they'll do when this is all over.

I think there was a scene in the ending cut for brevity, and they didn't realize how jarring the difference was going to be.

I feel your pain. That was the ending I purposely made and then I saw Liara on the planet like "NOPE I'm not dead space magic lol." It's probably a bug. A very bad one. Like the ending bugs in Dragon Age 2. Arrrgh.

I kind of like the idea of her being pregnant though. But still, not the ending for them in my head. >.>

Space magic changes all that!  Actually, Liara having both human and asari children would be a cool plottwist.

Why do people always say this... If Liara were to become pregnant, maybe she did when SHE WAS ****ING YOUR BRAINS OUT NOT 2 HOURS BEFORE YOU GET TO THAT SCENE. If you weren't, she was obviously just mind melding. If you think that gets her pregnant then a baby has been gestating inside her since ME1. And Shiala as well, for that matter.
