I was often frustrated with the Citadel fetch quests where you had to travel to X system, Y star, Z planet and scan for an item to launch a probe at. Mostly because a good chunk of them don't specify one or more of X, Y or Z. I had to look up a bunch of locations on the wiki in order to figure out where I needed to go.

Fuel is an annoying resource to manage, especially since Reapers can force you to leave and come back later before you found everything of importance, wasting even more fuel. At least docking at the Citadel comes with a complementary refueling.

A few times the character models bugged out, where either the body or head was facing the wrong direction. Samantha Traynor in particular was guilty of her head pulling a 180 to face me more than once.

That damn security screen between the CIC and the War Room.

"Spacebar does everything." Ended up gluing myself to cover several times when trying to interact with something nearby. Especially dangerous when that something is a downed squadmate.

There are some annoying stuff I can say aside the obligatory ''The Endings ! '' answer.

The Security check feature on Normandy ( hell I was expecting someone to invade and that thing would actually be something relevant ! )

The journal is really a let-down compare to the previous games. It gives you little-to-no information about the quests and you basicly have to run around EVERYWHERE to see if you missed something and more often then not I had to look up to the wiki so I can learn where is the damn sidequest objectives are. Even when I have the objective...there is no update message or a change in the quest description.....

Fuel and Reaper mini-game. It is just every since Bioware come up with the material system they cannot let annoying features like that go. I can understand they wanted to show Reaper threat is there but it only adds annoyance with it is combined with the fuel problem. I can't believe I am saying this but I actually miss the ME1's planet visiting and Mako.....

I don't know if this is just me or if I am really stupid that I can't find it but I hate that I can't see the achievements. I don't know if it's there and I just can't seem to find it.

The biggest annoyance for me was the damn "paint the target" Reaper fight.  Seriously, I must have died 30 times before I finally managed to get all the way through.  The laser is really unpredictable, and if it so much as grazes you, you die, and have to start the whole fight from the beginning.  The way to do it is to strafe in one direction, then roll the opposite way at the last second, before the beam can adjust.  But even once I figured that out, it was frustrating.

All I did was roll twice to the opposite side the beam was firing. Had no problems. You also don't need to do it at the last second either. Do it as soon as the beam ignites, it won't follow you or anything.

Oh but it does, at least on Hardcore, which is what I played on my first time.  I tried rolling as soon as it showed, and the beam quickly adjusted and killed me.  Moving rapidly while it was still a ways off caused it to follow you just as rapidly.  I'm not looking forward to that fight in my Insanity run.

There is a fight where a reaper stomps on you as you try and push button. That was nine kinds of annying.

In general, my biggest gripe is galaxy exploration. It manages to be both uninteresting and annoying. I mean they are 0-3 on this with the MAKO UCW whiff, the planet scanning mess and now this. It isn't hard per se but it is annoying to have to leave, come back, run away and repeat.

ATM, the most annoying "feature" is that silly dream sequence of chasing that kid around and having the topic of that kid pop up in conversations the way that they pop up.

When you are supposted to press the launch console on the second rocket launcher and there are like five brutes and three banchees around.

The ending, it really messed me up. I... want to cry?

That was likely put in there because people complained about Shepard having no personality in ME2.  The dream sequence is a way to show that he/she is affected by what's happening on Earth, and is psychologically scarred.  At least it doesn't happen often and it doesn't take too long.  Though it is annoying how slowly you move in it.

It doesn't work for all Shephards though. I mean, you could have had your crew killed, or your family, or your entire unit, or all 3, depending on your background and choices in ME1 and ME2. Why would some random kid set you off?

It's symbolism.  Yeah the kid's death is tragic, but it's not really about that kid.  It's about the billions of people who are being slaughtered by the Reapers, and Shepard feels powerless to stop it.  Pretty much every Shepard will be horrifed by that, and that fear manifests itself in his dreams as the kid that he watched die on Earth.  Dreams are usually full of symbols like that, especially in fiction.

I'd rather have seen a dream with Shepard free falling through atmo, being pursued by a Reaper that keeps getting closer and closer and Shepard is helpless (so at first you see Shepard falling with a tiny dot that keeps getting bigger behind Shepard, and with increasing size, there is increasing detail of a silhouette of a Reaper). Shepard could be panicking maybe, or maybe not (could be based on using interrupts or not, sorta like trying to face nightmare or not).

And as Shepard is about to get squished or caught by the Reaper, there's a fade to black as Shepard wakes up in a cold sweat.

Edit: adding these thingies "( )" and clarity.

You know what I didn't particularly care for? The mission screen from the pause menu. In the first two you could skim through the available missions, push a button on them and it would drop down a detailed description of the things you had to do. In this one sometimes the the title of the mission tells what system to be in and sometimes it just tells a planet to look for. And then sometimes I'm just looking for a fossil and that's all the more info I have to go off. I'm not going to get chased all over hell and back by reapers scanning planets for a fossil or something having no clue where one is.
