This is not true. Let's stop this kind of disinformation, please...
Tell me your friends name or STFU!

You sir are really rude, I can't obviously tell you his name, ever heard of privacy? Beside that why do you think it's disinformation? Do you work for EA? Are you an EA localisation tester? If yes than explain to us how the localisation testing team have tested the game because it doesn't look like they have tested it so much.

I know how a game or a software is tested.
In an Italian forum, the Admin knows a game tester (not EA, i think) and he said that they spent lot of hours testing the game.
Sure, i'm disappointed because of the bug, but consider that the debug version used by the magazines works fine. It seems a problem of disc printing or a corrupted file.
Let's wait for an official answer by BioWare.
Check the translation string is not beta testing!

Have you ever thought that the maybe  it's not completely BW fault. Why the bug affects only the Italian version?
Something happened when EA Italy created the "local software". Personally hold them  resposible for the event. I really hope BW will be able to fix the errors made in the Italian version, because it's clear they person at BW are our only hope.

Let's see what happen in the next hours.

yes, they spent about 8/10 hours a day to test the games, from monday tu saturday ed often to sunday.
the trouble of italian version is different, the dubug version works, the promo version seems to work, the issue is only in the retail version, maybe some files that has been written on the wrong disk in the final version
the italian versiojn could also be printed by EA Italia, maybe Bioware hasn't seen the bug before because this bug is not a their bug

A word from EA or BioWare on the current status would be appreciated. They should know that they are loosing customers and money as time passes.

Happy that you do know how a game "should" be tested but that doesn't mean that every company does that, for what I know Microsoft could test every version of a game for days, I don't know what they do, but I do know that a game big as much as ME3 requires a lot of time to be completely tested, weeks maybe, EA only has few localisation testers, and from what that friend of mine told me they usually don't test full games, specially if the game is this big and requires so much time to test every gameplay\\story option.

EDIT: To be clear: EA localisation testers have to test all EA's games, which are a lot, that's why they do not spend so much time on every game, even working 8 hours per day 6 days a week, EA has tens of games in development right now.

EDIT2: Please do not confuse "game tester" with "localisation tester", those are two different jobs, a localisation tester do not test a full game, that's the game testers job.

Guys we are not here to establish who caused this bug. EA and Bioware are business company and they know they are both loosing money from this issue, in one way or another they must fix this problem ASAP.

Same problem here... Please Bioware tell us if this patch will be released in a few days or not, so i can decide if continue without this mission or wait for the patch itself.

I think we have the right to know things like this

Guys we are in italy; do you know how did they test EA games?
EA -> EA Italy -> accenture -> a lot of third parties company -> who gave underpaid CO.CO.PRO consultant who don't ever says what's the difference between xbox 360 and ps3
and then sent the copy to pippo company -> who sent them to pluto company -> who sent them to a lot of third parties printing factory -> who printed the DVD with the (bugged) version of the game

so is'nt really fault of Bioware/EA
but we can't blame anyone else than Bioware/EA :\\ 'cause they are responsibles

btw, even if Bioware already developed patch, we need to wait 1 or 2 more days for Microsoft (who need to certificate patch before release)
pressure to the Bioware does'nt resolve anything

(and they already replied us a couple of time that's at least 5 more times you get from other companies)

If you (or anyone else) hate Bioware that much, why buying their games in the first place?
Not to mention that a lot of games come with bugs. The fact that you might have not experienced them does not mean that Bioware it's the only SH which "doesn't test" its games.

If beta testing has been made on the english version, they couldn't have noticed this bug, so stop raging.

We are talking by suppositions, the only one who can tell us what the hell is going on is Bioware or EA.

Well,I think they could change "grissom academy" quest in a free dlc...I don't think it's so complicated....
Let's do a class action!

La quest permette di reclutare un elemento del party e che superato un certo punto del gioco non è più disponibile, quindi suggerisco a chi volesse sbloccare tutti gli elementi del gioco di attendere il fix.

There is probably nothing that you, me or anyone else that is not working at Bioware can do

The quest doesn't unlock a party member, but you encounter an old squadmate (a possibile love interest in ME2) and a character from the books

Hi, all! Sorry for the lack of updates.

We have had different members of the team working 24 hours a day to try to understand this issue. What I'm going to say next is going to sound illogical, given the frequency of the issue, but it's the truth: this is a very, very complicated issue.

It *seems* like a "race condition". That is, the outcome of a function is dependent upon very specific timing and output of other functions. As others have mentioned, this doesn't seem to affect other language builds... so that complicates things further.

I understand your frustration. :(

Please know that we're continuing to work on this, though. I can't promise anything (asking for an ETA for these sorts of things is like asking how long it will take to find your lost keys) but hopefully we'll have more information soon.

I'm sorry but it is unjustifiable...  Beta testing must be performed in all countries where the game will be deployed by local betatesters... as do, and doing other famous video games publishers. So, I don't know if Bioware did or didn't this...but I think not...
