I got an idea for another fantastic workaround that surely will resolve the issue: you (or your company off course I don't care about this) refund us for what we spent for this bugged game until the patch is released!

What do you think? Is even better than the incredibile workaround that you suggested, isn't it?

OMG...I lolled very hard!!!

Any way...I think I'll *probably* bring my copy back to GS and ask for a refund.
And *probably* I will buy it back when the problem is solved...or *probably* I won't.

I've played Bioware games since many many years...this problem a really pissed me off.
As a great supporter of Bioware SH I didn't espect something like this.

4th class independent SH can afford to **** up like this...a Titan like BW, in my opinon, just can't.

To those who say "we paid 70,80,130 euros for what? For an incomplete game" etc. etc.

Since we understand them, say in part, because ultimately you can still play, but when you write stuff like "now you carry in the store! 1111! Gneee gneee'll teach Bioware" are just a sad post absurd.

Do you really think that with this type of post you solve anything?
Just to say that I do not believe even if I see him.
Do not do nothing but clog the topic.

But then the hurry to have the patch?
We waited years for the exit, do not think a couple of days or weeks may be the end of the world.

Come on guys do not tell me you have nothing to do all day while they wait?
Go out with your girlfriend?
Go drink a beer?
Watch a movie?
More than many other things that life brings.

Well I have a strong desire to continue playing, I might as well do it, but how many of you do not want to neglect the academy, but I'm not all day to grind the brain.

Then those who just can not resist, just to save in another slot and continue the game and good night.

Then when the patch will restart from that save has played well the academy.

From what you write, it seems that you play Mass Effect, only this time.

Basis only am I the fool who has played several times to strip the flesh off the old chapters every small detail and improve the in game to game?

God, this will be one of the 'Bugs of the Century'...surely, for the magnitude of the title, on of the biggest in gaming history...although it's a local one.. you know, one of those few ones that gaming industry always remember..like that Pool of Radiance or Super Mario Bros glitches..this is gonna pass on Bioware shoulders for sure..in EU at least..

I'm very very disappointed to hear such a ETA.. I know that now bioware is doing his best to fix the bug, but anyway I really hope that they will offer us some kind of "refund" or "present" to be forgiven!
I don't know, maybe a DLC...

Too many bugs and problems for a masterpiece like Mass Effect 3.Why do not you have postponed the release of the game, making it more stable??? The game itself is fantastic but so annoying to play like that, seriously :(

(too much marketing in the gaming world...maybe is cause EA.......no comment xD)

Seems quite a mess you got in your hands there....i don't know if it's possible but i think a good way to solve this problem could be a deliver in our "unlucky" (sigh :P) country of a "fixed disk 2" of the game with some code for an exclusive content like....uhm...a hoodie for shepard with the italian flag on it? (just an idea lol) to sell in gamestores for the ones that go there with a "bugged disk 2" asking just for a low price to refound all your work....impossible? just an idea to try and help you guys out.

I'll take a pic, then. ;)

A)My girlfriend lives with me and she's even more pissed off than I am: ME1 was the first game she played on xbox since when we moved together, you can immagine!
B)I allready drink to much but, yes, I can. And what do you do if they bring the beer in a broken glass, with some missing?Say "thank you"?I don't think so. :)
C)Yeah, some nice movie, maybe with missing parts and scenes...It would be great! :)
D)Yes, I can to lot of things but, if I decide to do something then I would be able to do it, especially if I pay to do it.

It is not my case but, for example, a friend of mine could afford just a couple of games a year. One of those was ME3. He probably had to save some money for it and now?Is that fair?Should he be thanking for selling an unfinished and untested game?Really all that money spent in advertising (and if you're from italy you know how unusual is to see videogames spots on public TVs) could have not been redirected to quality standards?
We're not arguing if we liked the game or not, this would be silly since everybody has own opinions.
We're just being ripped off, sorry to use a so stronge sentence but, in the end, that's it.

I do not think-. - ... stop it by making the good guys this is a problem and that's that big and you need to attend to delete it.

The qestione is that the game is not broken.
You can still play.
Only you can not access to that mission.

Ok, I think I'm caught up on this thread. :)

We've made some real progress with the crash dump, and *think* that we have identified a file that caused this problem. We're continuing to investigate what is different about this file (in the various build numbers) because some build numbers reproduce this issue and some build numbers do not. (Please note, all retail copies reproduce this issue. When I talk about build numbers, I just mean the ones that we created at various points in the project).

We are also working with our external partners to ensure that we can get a fix out to you as soon as possible. We will absolutely NOT be holding a fix back if we have one -- we will make it available however we can, as soon as possible.

I don't have an ETA for a fix yet, but it *seems* like we've made some progress. I'll have more updates soon.

Thanks!

I'm glad to read that!

This game is so broken....in only 6 hours of gameplay i've experienced these bugs:

-grissom academy freeze (of course)
-hanar diplomat mission uncompletable due to nonexistent terminals
-1 complete playthrough from ME2 does not appear in my ME3 import saves
-money and fuel suddenly resetted to 0 during the campaign (2 times already and i guess more to come?). This pisses me off so bad.
-barla von mission broken (later resolved)
-in the multiplayer my characters were resetted to level 1 and i lost the unlocked objects, thanks god i didnt spend microsoft points for that.

And by looking at the tech support forum it seems like the situation doesnt get any better by further advancing in the story.

If you think it's ok to pay one of the biggest SH's major title almost a hundred bucks just to have a version with such a grosse flaw, well...man, it's your money.

It's like paying hundered thousand bucks for a Lamborghini and then gettin it with a jammed shut door that can't be opened.
Yeah, I can ride that, but i paid lots of bucks for a top class product and i expect it to be fully functional.

On top of that I've been a fan of BW since many years now and this thing deluded me very much as a consumer.
It's something the marketing knows very well.

And I bet marketing are guys now are facepalming.

I played ME1 twice and ME2 three or even four times. Before getting into this bug I allready told "i don't think i'm going to play this another time"; this is my call, of course. I'm not complaining because I spent 90€ for a single playthrough. This would be irrational.
Would you like to read a book with some pages missing, finish it and then a month later, ride the missing chapter? Weren't we talking about the involving story and so on?
And that comes from a very old bioware player, trust me.
I played baldur's gate II for something like 22 consecutive hours because I didn't want to stop the story! And now I'm forced to do it by the SH itself?!:blink::blink:
It is simply not fair.
And, by the way, I'm not blaming BioWare since, but that's my opinion, I can see more the modus operandi of EA behind this lack of attention.

Guys, the game is bugged. Ok. Maybe it''s BW fault, maybe not (in my opinion it isn't, but this is only my opinion). **** happens. The dev team is working on a patch to fix the bug, they are not leaving you alone, they are working on the problem to fix it. The game did not explode inside your xbox and ruined your life, as a matter of fact the game is going to be fixed. You are pissed of, you make this point very clear, and I understand your point, but your money are not going to be wasted, they are fixing the game you paid for. Now, what is your wish? BW can't turn back time and fix the game before the d1, they can only try to support us and they do it, actually. BW had even assure us that the patch will be relased as fast as it's possible, no matter if it will be a patch only for this this bug, they will not wait until they develop a "master patch" comprensive of all the fixing. It's only a matter of time and your mass effect 3 copy will worth every penny.

ME1 was missing the part where they were introduced  batarian  and another dlc do not remember.
ME2: Zaeed, Kasumi, Lair of the Shadow brokers, overlord, Arrival.

All of us have played quietly without these two chapters share of history without too much trouble.

That's why all the fuss seems to me exaggerated.

It's difficult to know for sure. Most of the time, DLC only adds on to existing content. Any time that we replace existing content, we're introducing a huge amount of risk. Further to that, any DLC would have to go through the Microsoft certification process and we would still be a couple weeks away from release.

Frankly, I'd rather continue down the path that we're currently going. It might seem to be taking a long time, but there is much less risk associated with it than anything that we might do to try to speed things up. I don't want to introduce more issues by trying to fix one.
