To my unble opinion, if Bioware had sent a U.K. dvd 2 to alla customer in Itlay, it might be cheaper and faster that find and distribute a patch.....

Whoa! Wasn't that a Mussolini's quote? LOL

Anyway I appreciate ryan's work, this i care to stress. I understand he's just a working guy who found the weight of this whole stuff pending on his shoulder. I know he's not responsible for that and he's just trying to do what he can to solve the consequences of someone else's mistakes. I know what it feels like, we all know. Probaly he's more angry than we are and hear him on that...he's doing his best and i thank him. What i'm disappointed of is the clear lack of attention we are rewarded with by corporations who ask us to pay almost a hundered bucks for a product and then dont even bother to give their fans and supporters a decent quality control. Just this.

Mussolini? Absolutely not... that an Oscar Wilde's quote!!!
I agree your thought so much....

Sorry for the lack of replies. I've been away from my desk all day, chasing down more information on this issue. Here's what we know so far:

The "race condition" seems like it wasn't the true issue; it was masking the true issue. We believe that we have identified what is causing the issue and we are moving forward with three priorities:
1) Investigating to make sure that Grissom Academy is the only level affected by this (we are pretty sure that it is, but we want to be positive)
2) Investigating a fix. This should be fairly easy once we have the results of 1).
3) Investigating how to get this fix out to you. Depending upon the results of 1) and 2) there may be different methods that we have to use. For instance, we're only able to issue a patch for very specific kinds of fixes. We may have a downloadable option, but it might not qualify as a "patch".

So our programming teams and QA teams are quite busy right now, and we hope to have good news for you within the next couple of days -- certainly by early next week. In the meantime we're working with all our external partners to determine how we can get a fix out to you as soon as possible.

Thanks again for your patience. I'm sorry the news wasn't better, but we're much closer now!

It's nice to hear about your progress. it gives us hope.
Just a question: the downloadable option will de facto function like a patch or an update?
I mean we play the game and we see a message telling us to download the update or is something different?

Thanks for the info, Ryan. We'll await your next update.

Yes, it would work very much like that -- you'd might see a prompt telling you to get an update, but if that isn't possible (for whatever reason) we would let you know via the forums (in this thread) how to get the fix.

I just wanted to specify that it might not technically be a patch -- it might just function like one.

Thanks for all Ryan.

Ryan I have a question for you... I know that having a patch or a downlodable content to be ready for download in the marketplace takes a week for certification by microsoft, but still, is there any "unofficial" way by you can handle that to us as soon as it's ready? (as it's a major bug preventing lots of us to play a secondary but important mission). I mean, maybe you can put the patch in an .iso then we burn a cd and install it just like any dashboard update that can be downloaded from the net and be installed offline... that will surely shorten the time to wait in order to play again this wonderful game... and maybe in this way you can delay the patch by the marketplace for other minor bugfixs to be included...

Sorry if it's hardly understandable

Microsoft haven't implemented that update mode for games media. It's only supported for dashboard update. Bioware can't do nothing for that. The games updates must be deployed only from Internet. The most time that Microsoft employs it's for certification pack, not for deploy it.

In a ideal world, there aren't war, people live in love and...games have
no bugs. But this is the real world, and even Bioware can make a
mistake. They are human...not Salarian! [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]
So, thank you Ryan for the support!

Meanwhile, i kill time in multiplayer mode.

I see... meh, probabily in that case I'll save the game before the mission of the accademy becomes unavailable, I'll finish it and then when the patch is online I'll finish another time doing the mission :pinched: can't wait all that time without knowing how it ends, expecially because many fan did complain about it so I'm very curious. I'll treat the acedemy mission as it was a DLC :(

As long as it functions like one and fix the bug we'll be happy.
Thanks for your courtesy Ryan.

Since you are so polite I'd like you to ask a question:
Do you think we should continue the SP or just await a couple of days to hear about the "progess of the fix"?

I mean if the fix is on the way we could wait to resum SP in the other case I suppose we should enjoy therest of the game.
I know you don't have an ETA, I'm just asking for an "advice".
Thanks again, Ryan.

I hope this will find a way out soon, at least it could render the fading out of the dialogues a little more acceptable in our poor It version.
I wonder what "[UNRECOGNIZED DATA:Evole_DamageReductionBonus]%" could mean in one level 4 perk of EDI or IDA, it doesn't looks like "humour".
Aria's subquest is messy too, completely unstable, try to finish the three tasks in random order maybe leaving the Citadel if you don't believe me, at the end i had to complete them one by one in a linear way otherwise "eclipse" one wont complete in no way.
Anyway, lets hope in a quick fix at least for this GriNDssom Academy crap.

Mi sto facendo tanto di quel nervoso che non ci credete neanche avendo lo stesso problema, non fatemene una copa se lo chiamo "Bug Effect 3".

I'm just getting med at it, you cannot get it even having the very same problem, don't blame me if I call it "Bug Effect 3".

At least the Italian version hasn't undergone a correct betatesting neither quality controls... or betatesters here were kids and neither enough smart, sorry but this is what I think.

It has been confirmed the issue affects the text description only with no gameplay consequences.

Eclipse quest can be completed. I did it by myself ( I didn't free the Eclipse leader but I made a deal with her second in command)

However the mission's status and the subsequent War asset don't update immediatly. I moved toward the elevator and just before the "security check" I got the update and the war asset. I hope this may help you.
