Did any of you contact, just for curiosity of course, EA Italy customer service? I'm curious to know what they say, since it's clear the bug occurred during the "localization process" they made...

BW is acting as quick as possible and Ryan is always very polite and update us frequently but for what I read on this topic I believe the most optimistic ETA is 3 weeks. I wish I'm wrong.
i laught too loud when i read post like this :asd:
an advice for the users: the UK copies of Mass Effect 3 are grimsson academy bug-free, so if you have the chance, use them to bypass it
I never trolled... so keep a civilized attidute thank you.SeregonWolf wrote...
Please, don't we start over with the same discussions, since I've never been a great fan of the "look to the bright side" attitude.
I'm following this forum just for curiosity, since I'm not playing anymore ME3 and I found just a little contrast in what was written here.Agreed. That's trolling taken to the next level.BaffoStyle wrote...

"It comes in contrast with what Ryan wrote about not holding back any fix and delivering it as soon as it will be ready, despite somebody (don't remember who, sorry) was telling exactly that they will never release a patch only for our isue."
Well,I don't think so:for example, you know there are THOUSANDS of Americans that cannot play the game AT ALL for a terrible bug that put a black screen as soon as they start the game:they see a black screen and they cannot press START.....
That is seriously a bug so worst then our and I don't think they will wait a "patch pack"....
Also,I don't think Grissom academy will be fixed with a classic patch,I think they will make a file to download from marketplace....or maybe something only for italians account so we don't need to wait a massive patch.
Ryan also said the fix to Grissom Academy bug in the Italian version of ME3 would not be considered a "patch" even though it will function like one.
I cannot find the quote right now but it's on this topic.
I don't know BW/EA final decision but I trust Ryan.
Honestly if I hadn't read Ryan's words I would have believed the Grissom Academy bug was meant to be solved with a "patch pack".
Let's await the next update. Next time I'll play ME3 I'll start Priority Citadel 2.
There is no way to have the patch next week.

Rather I'd be curious to know how they can write this sentence "Siamo consapevoli e stiamo indagando su un problema che interessa alcune versioni italiane di Mass Effect 3 per la Xbox 360." Not are "some copies" but all the copies in commerce!
I was not refearing to you, don't worry.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]D.Shepard wrote...

Beside they (EA) are not investigating on the issue as they said. It's BW who is "performing the investigations". Just for the records.
OK. After all I tried to help everyone, when I could. Not that I had much to do anyway since we can only hope in a official solution of the issue but I triedSeregonWolf wrote...

I just find the whole situation freaking hilarious,as I think BaffoStyle does; not specifically your comment but the whole thing that those who created a mess, selling an untested an far from be ready product, are now the "good guys" to be thanked.
Thats, in a certain way, the same thing the "real troll" in this thread did.
I was not attacking you personally, I assure.
I agree with you on that side, even if I think that dealing with customers is his own figure inside BioWare staff (as yet i did not understand what's his job, outside giving updates from time to time); we all saw what happened when some other member entered the discussion suggested some "workaround" and then disappearing, leaving Mr. Warden to take care of the situation.D.Shepard wrote...
Ryan was very polite and he update us with detailed technical info. I suppose he deserves our respect. That's my opinion.

I never attacked anyone personally, since this is a fault that comes from companies (as Nero said); I just made up my mind reading this thread and picked my own decision and now just reading the posts because I'm curious to see how it will end.
And, as long as I can since you need to have a registerd copy of the game to do so, posting my opinion about it.
This could have been a solution if brought to my attention a little earlier!D.Shepard wrote...
If you fear the fix will require more time that you like, and I could be on your side, there is a formal action we could try.
We call EA Italy customer care and we formally require they send us the working copy of the mission, the one they sent to the press.
They put in on a DVD and they send it via express deliver to us. I'm tempted to do it but I don't know if that copy could create even more issues....
And you want my opinion, free of any attack intention, I suppose they'll try to publish a patch to fix multiple issues. That could even happen in the ETA we are given but it's logical to suppose they'll try to minimaze the "patch cost".
I may be wrong. In that case I'll be glad BW gave us "special attentions".
Let's await Ryan's monday update.

it is not mistrusting Ryan (or anyone else who would be handling the situation) but this would be the very first time I see a company making the good of the customers at their expenses, even if they're wrong in the first place.
In the future I will give BioWare a try (at least in honor to baldur's gate saga!) but never ever buy another EA product, since, as my personal opinion, is the pubblisher behind al the rush in releasing the products and they're creating a mess in any game they touch (look at BuggedField 3).

Hi everyone,
I don't know, maybe someone might be interested in this; I eluded a small (very small T__T) part of the problem: it's possible to play the game without the GA quest thus never getting an update of "Mission Failure".
Just never talk to Traynor untill after Priority: Citadel 2. She will complain for the whole time about her findings, but ALL other secondary mission will be still playable (you'll recive an update via e-mail).
Men, I know it's really nothing but this should give almost the feeling to play a Full game and just wait for a dlc...
