Some guy wrote he did and even Ryan answered him.
I don't want to scroll over 40 pages but ,if I'm not going wrong,EA customer service told him that the problem was going to be fixed in some days.

i laught too loud when i read post like this :asd:

an advice for the users: the UK copies of Mass Effect 3 are grimsson academy bug-free, so if you have the chance, use them to bypass it

Why my post makes you laugh?

Please, don't we start over with the same discussions, since I've never been a great fan of the "look to the bright side" attitude.
I'm following this forum just for curiosity, since I'm not playing anymore ME3 and I found just a little contrast in what was written here.

"It comes in contrast with what Ryan wrote about not holding back any fix and delivering it as soon as it will be ready, despite somebody (don't remember who, sorry) was telling exactly that they will never release a patch only for our isue."

Well,I don't think so:for example, you know there are THOUSANDS of Americans that cannot play the game AT ALL for a terrible bug that put a black screen as soon as they start the game:they see a black screen and they cannot press START.....
That is seriously a bug so worst then our and I don't think they will wait a "patch pack"....
Also,I don't think Grissom academy will be fixed with a classic patch,I think they will make a file to download from marketplace....or maybe something only for italians account so we don't need to wait a massive patch.

Ryan also said the fix to Grissom Academy bug in the Italian version of ME3 would not be considered a "patch" even though it will function like one.

I cannot find the quote right now but it's on this topic.

I don't know BW/EA final decision but I trust Ryan.
Honestly if I hadn't read Ryan's words I would have believed the Grissom Academy bug was meant to be solved with a "patch pack".

Let's await the next update. Next time I'll play ME3 I'll start Priority Citadel 2.
There is no way to have the patch next week.

Did any of you contact, just for curiosity of course, EA Italy customer service? I'm curious to know what they say, since it's clear the bug occurred during the "localization process" they made...

Rather I'd be curious to know how they can write this sentence "Siamo consapevoli e stiamo indagando su un problema che interessa alcune versioni italiane di Mass Effect 3 per la Xbox 360." Not are "some copies" but all the copies in commerce!

Beside they (EA) are not investigating on the issue as they said. It's BW who is "performing the investigations". Just for the records.

I just find the whole situation freaking hylarious,as I think BaffoStyle does; not specifically your comment but the whole thing that those who created a mess, selling an untested an far from be ready product, are now the "good guys" to be thanked.
Thats, in a certain way, the same thing the "real troll" in this thread did.

Of course, Bioware is the software house.
By the way, I think we'll haven't to wait for a patch pack because this is a high-priority bug for Bioware.

OK. After all I tried to help everyone, when I could. Not that I had much to do anyway since we can only hope in a official solution of the issue but I tried Image IPB

Beside I just thanked Ryan because he is very polite. Most companies would have not gave us updates like Ryan did.
Many companies say: " we'll fix the issue when we like  if you want to keep the products do it in the other case do whatever you want we don't care"
You cannot imagine how many companies say "you don't like the treatment we are reserving to you? File a lawsuite, who cares? The money you give to lawyer is yours."

Ryan was very polite and he update us with detailed technical info. I suppose he deserves our respect. That's my opinion.

I agree with you on that side, even if I think that dealing with customers is his own figure inside BioWare staff (as yet i did not understand what's his job, outside giving updates from time to time); we all saw what happened when some other member entered the discussion suggested some "workaround" and then disappearing, leaving Mr. Warden to take care of the situation. :)
I never attacked anyone personally, since this is a fault that comes from companies (as Nero said); I just made up my mind reading this thread and picked my own decision and now just reading the posts because I'm curious to see how it will end.
And, as long as I can since you need to have a registerd copy of the game to do so, posting my opinion about it.

If you fear the fix will require more time that you like, and I could be on your side, there is a formal action we could try.
We call EA Italy customer care and we formally require they send us the working copy of the mission, the one they sent to the press.
They put in on a DVD and they send it via express deliver to us. I'm tempted to do it but I don't know if that copy could create even more issues....

And you want my opinion, free of any attack intention, I suppose they'll try to publish a patch to fix multiple issues. That could even happen in the ETA we are given but it's logical to suppose they'll try to minimaze the "patch cost".
I may be wrong. In that case I'll be glad BW gave us "special attentions".

Let's await Ryan's monday update.

This could have been a solution if brought to my attention a little earlier!
it is not mistrusting Ryan (or anyone else who would be handling the situation) but this would be the very first time I see a company making the good of the customers at their expenses, even if they're wrong in the first place.
In the future I will give BioWare  a try (at least in honor to baldur's gate saga!)  but never ever buy another EA product, since, as my personal opinion, is the pubblisher behind al the rush in releasing the products and they're creating a mess in any game they touch (look at BuggedField 3).

As I said I'm temped to do it. After all if the bug occurred during localization it's EA Italy fault.
I'll trust BW in furure because I always loved their games: they were among the best videogames in human history. But I have my doubts on EA, too. Just an opinion based on personal experience.

Hi everyone,

I don't know, maybe someone might be interested in this; I eluded a small (very small T__T) part of the problem: it's possible to play the game without the GA quest thus never getting an update of "Mission Failure".

Just never talk to Traynor untill after Priority: Citadel 2. She will complain for the whole time about her findings, but ALL other secondary mission will be still playable (you'll recive an update via e-mail).

Men, I know it's really nothing but this should give almost the feeling to play a Full game and just wait for a dlc...

You study economy and you're talking about Software. Software uses rules based on development stages, and patterns. Take this as a proved fact, a software house can have two ways to move on, and it's based on how much budget has been allocated at the start point of the project for disaster recovery, patching and maintenaince. So, you're right for almost all the things you wrote, if we were talking about a normal industry. Maybe pasta, agricultural lines or something like this will follow the path you've specified. For informatics, what you wrote was simply supported by other means based on the fact that no software is perfect or ready, so some money must be set apart for patching process. Just see the project life diagram of Agile pattern.  =]

Now, this means that ad hoc patches in project of several dozens of million dollar budget are really expected to be released, as even if you get a cost of dozen of thousand dollars they're largely covered by the revenue of the entire blockbuster. I've also heard rumors about this "ad hoc" patch around in the sales market, but as rumors I cannot confirm that they were right. Don't lose the hope to get it in just some weeks, maybe this weekend coming also.

Are you sure you can get other missions if you don't talk with Traynor? Btw I suppose many of us already talked with her several times.

The Mission Failure update is not the most relevant issue, the most relevant issue is not being able to play a very interesting mission, and getting two interesting weapons.
Even though I don't know if you can buy them on the Citadel after the mission fails. If you miss weapons during your missions you can buy them at the Citadel. Maybe we'll get at least the weapons.

If you plan to play ME3 one more time just consider Grissom Academy a loss of the war you are fighting in that particulary reality.
You know parallel universes, alternate realities, "many-worlds interpretation"...
Consider every ME3 playthrough like a parallel universe. In this one the mission failed because Shepard had pressing business across the Galaxy in the next one, your "canon" reality, you complete the mission.

Maybe I'm getting too involved with my own "creativeness".... Image IPB
In the other case you could await the "patch" but I fear it won't arrive immediatly.

I'm glad I can play a lot of multiplayer.... I completed the mission on Silver vs Reapers so I should get my bonus pack Image IPB

No, l'ho notato anche io, l'ho anche scritto qui nel forum una decina di pagine fa e chiesto se sarà corretta sta cosa, hanno detto che lo sarà solo dopo aver corretto ogni altro bug, ovvero non verrà mai corretto.

= / I've Noticed another .. remaking the game, Mission to Mars, after Entering the station, and he continued the game for a while, there is a "wall" where you protect yourself, that can not climb over it .. Because every time I try, the character Makes the move, but remains stationary.
