the worst thing is that bioware don't say sorry to no one in a public announcement but only to us with Ryan Warden voice (thanks Ryan for the update) and that none of us will see nothing (free code for future dlc or similar) after this deadly issue. bioware is losing our confidence everyday that pass by without the patch.

Epic Quote

Galactic quote....

Ryan make us a spell!!! :wizard:

I'll continue to respect Ryan for his updates but I'd like some sort of apology too. Not from Ryan, he is not responsible for such bug and he is trying to help us, but from the public relations department.
We all know EA Italy is responsible for such issue they should publish a press release and apologise with the comsumers who bought the product.

It's obvious the frustration we feel is direclty proportional to the time we spent in the incapability to fully enjoy the game.
Many of us are fans of Mass Effect since the day of its firs release; some even followed the pre-release progression of the game when BioWare announced a new epic Science Fiction series.

We are upset because we value the series. In the other case we would have simply returned the game.
I believe we deserve the "We are sorry" statment metioned above. I still believe EA Italy is responsible for such issue.
However many players are not familiar with the companies' "mechanics" and they simply desire to play their game, a game they awaited for a long time.

Now that the game is finally in our hands we must decide if skipping an important part of the plot or stop the single player until we get a fix.

We are aware of the technical complexity of the issue but being frustated in such circumstances is.. human.

Ryan, we'll appreciate your future updates so continue to keep us informed. You know no one here blame you for this issue: you are the only friend we Italian users have in this situation.

I'm not a maniac, i think that i can wait the patch without losing sleep. the think that make me angry are the people that try to find excuse for EA/bioware.
please don't do it, don't do it in anyway!! please!!
the biggest issue it's not the technical complexity, the issue is that EA/bioware didn't do their work. The beta testers must TEST/TRY/PLAY the entire game, not the part that they like and anyway a developer that don't try all the different language version because "it's the same game" is a bad developer.

Different language --> different files --> different variable --> different error or issue.
Even a hamster can understand this.

there's no excuse for no one, bioware or EA,they didn't their work or they did it wrong.
try to make an error like this at work and look what happen after. your boss will kick your a** so strong that you became a shoe rack.

I appreciate Ryan's update, but I know that Ryan is the only person that separates us from a real protest against EA/bioware and I think they know this.

This is my personal opinion.

Waiting for update, this time with the real position of bioware. It is impossible that they don't have an ETA,they are professionals not monkey.

Understood, D. Shepard. :)

I just figured that some people may not be aware of some of the processes that we have to follow, and this might be a good time to talk about them.

Talking is always good.. that's what makes us civilized beings Image IPB
I'll await your next update, hoping tomorrow you will have other news for us.

Actually, the game was tested before selling it to the public. This issue was introduced by an automated process after we had signed-off on the game, but before it went to manufacturing.

Right now my focus is on getting you a fix as fast as possible. After that, my focus will be finding out how this happened, and how we can ensure that it never happens again.

I hope me too! :?

Ryan, when everything will be ended, could you try to explain the origin of the issue?
I study informatics and I'm curios =)

Sorry, I'm not going to be able to share everything. There is some confidential business information that is involved.

This is understandable.
Beside am I the only one who wants to get a fix asap instead of playing the "bug detective"?
If they say the problem was in the string X and was cause by the person Y I don't get any advantage from that.

Just a personal comment..Image IPB

it's a joke, right?

I'm not able to get a selfmade fix and I don't wanna play the bug detective <_<  I'm just curious. I got a foggy idea of the method they use and the way they operate.
The code it's only code, I would like to know the technical part but if it is not possible amen.

Ryan, the patch that will be released on (we hope :() april, will fix all the issues reported by the community (black screen, face import, saves import) or only the italian "Grissom Academy" issue? if the patch will fix all the issues, i think in these days the dev team works on so many issues, not only on the Grissom Academy.. so the dev team must be divided about the nature of the issue.. or the dev team works issue by issue to solve any problem.. you show us the "mechanics" of a fix, could you show us the "mechanics" that the dev team follow to fix all this issues?

Thanks :)

The fix that we are currently testing will resolve just this (the Italian Grissom Academy) issue. There will be a separate patch for other issues.

I wish more of you folks would post more in the Black Screen topic.  I hope the "other issues" is part of the other fixes you're working on.  thanx.  An ETA would be appreciated when possible.

She killed him, if that's what you meant.

And no, she couldn't kill him because he used her code against her. He put some innocent in danger so Samara was forced by the code to assist them and Nihlus escaped.

Thanks for your attention and your update Mr. Warden. We are sure that you make everything possible for all of us! I have just one question for your next project about ME3: Do you introduce the fix into your new build? Better explain: do you make a new DVDs of the game without this issue in a few months? Thanks in advance.

the saddest thing is probably patch will need more time to be tested by Microsoft...
