 I’m sure all of us
that have invested the last 4 years in the Mass Effect series that any ending
is not acceptable and is an insult to dedicated fans. In the best possible
ending the Reaper threat is neutralized, the Relays are destroyed stranding
civilizations and cutting off the galaxy from one another, destroying the
Normandy (again) and forcing it to crash land on a uncharted world, oh and you
are a broken mess under some rumble still kicking. 



Let me explain how this sounds to me: ****
Craptastic. 



The entire plot with the "Catalyst" is
such poor narrative and it makes no sense. Mass Effect has always had ties to
"grounded" sci-fi that this is the most ill-logical way to end the
game. That a small child is the control to chaos and that for order to happen
the galaxy must be wiped clean every 50,000 years. You can choose the right
path and destroy the Reapers, thus destroying the Relays. And if there is one
thing we know about Relays being destroyed that they have major consequences. 



So we ignite every Rely in the galaxy more than
likely killing millions in the process just to end the Reaper threat. Not to
mention that any ship flying through space gets destroyed like the Normandy
that was trying to outrun the blast from a nearby Rely. 



So in the end our "decisions" end up
destroying the Reapers but kill millions in the process and setting everyone
back a thousand years. With countless civilizations destroyed, the Relays
destroyed, there is no help for anyone to rebuild. The galaxy is back to every
race taking care of itself. The Citadel is destroyed creating chaos without
leadership leaving a very dark galaxy.



So BioWare, how is this any better than the
Reapers finishing their job? Where is the satisfaction for winning? Cause all
of us felt like we lost. You have let us down; you can choose to fix it with
DLC and an alternate CANNON ending. And we would pay for it, to have our righteous
ending. To defeat the Reapers and save the galaxy, not leave it in darkness!
