How do you know for a fact that it's a stock internet photo? If it is it would show up on TinEye or Google Image Search. It does not. So where did this photo come from?

It came from GettyImages which in fact in the ME3 credits it says the game used stock images from Gettyimages.

If so then why bother showing her at all, and yes it's important BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN TEASING IT FOR 2 GAMES. you can't sell the mystery of a freaken character on not knowing what she look likes then just use a poorly edit stock image to reveal her.

It's lazy, irresponiable and all levels of retarded.

If they wanted to reveal her why did they not just make a model for her when she takes off her mask on Rannoch it would have made perfect sense there.  You either reveal her or don't, but if your gonna reveal her you don't reveal her in such a lazy way.

At the risk of going off-topic to answer this quickly: 

My personal interpretation is that her picture is symbolic of the 'no barriers remaining' stage of Shepard and Tali's relationship.  Tali obviously cannot be out of her suit or without the mask 24/7 - but her picture allows Shepard to always 'see' her.  Admittedly, he shouldn't really need it since physical image has never seriously defined Tali's character, but you could also argue that the desperation and hopelessness of the war they fought factored into the decision.  

Anything more on this should go in the appropriate thread, I think. And back on topic: I'm torn between the unprofessional approach taken by Bioware with regards to a lazy photoshop and the fact that...well, the result isn't -terrible-, per se.  It's one of those things for me that shouldn't be done and I would condemn, but wouldn't go berserk about.

I really don't see the point of shoving your opinion down everyone's throats, while refusing theirs as having any merit.  Get off your high horse.  Tali fans were disappointed and some of them felt that this was a cop out / lazy.  How about YOU get over the fact that that's how some people feel.  To each their own.
