Doubtful they will, at least not for a while. But continue voicing your opinion, if you give up.. we'll never be heard. Fight for what you want, this is NOT acceptable.

I'm guessing they're coming up with an explanation that is PR friendly, you know how in this business that one word could give you the best image or the worst.

All I have seen is thread locking so I am thinking they will a avoid a response if possible and only if sales are affected will they speak up. The best company's that for fans ATM Bethasada and CD project red they take feedback and use it to improve the game which is what is terrific about this medium you can go in and fix mistakes or oversights. Bioware seems out of touch which is a shame.

What could they possibly say aside from "we've reconsidered post-story DLC and have decided to do it, stay tuned" or "We ****ed up, sorry, nothing we can do," either answer will kick up a ****-storm. I HOPE Bioware realizes how badly they ****ed up their best series. Enjoying bought and paid-off reviews is fine, but it doesn't support a company. Still, as it stands, I doubt we'll get any answer other than a few hollow comments like "sorry if you didnt like it". I know BW cared about ME, but it doesn't show in how it turned out.
I've literally never seen 6 years of work destroyed in 15 minutes of lame story like this. Go forth and be proud of that, Bioware.

One day. And it might not be satisfactory. After DA2, we eventually heard 'we didn't think reusing maps would be a big deal.' And there's supposedly (so this is hearsay) a comment from shortly before release that 'our testers liked the ending' about these endings.
If that's the kind of thing we get, is there any value to the response? We can hope for something other. Maybe we'll get it. Maybe we won't.

Yeah, I'd love to hear from them... from Mac Walters in particular.
Here's a guy who went from being a Never Winter Nights fan to a Bioware writer. I had heard in an interview that he was hired after submitting some mod for NWN that he did that impressed them.
Frankly I'm wondering if he has any writing experience or education, or is this a case where he was hired on and not overly qualified to handle the pressure that finishing ME3 was. Some writing was great, and others lacking. Consistancy would have been nice.
Cheers. McBeath.

eh. the truth is in the numbers. The game sends back play statistics. According to steam I played mass effect 325 hours, and Mass effect 2 286 hours. this doesn't count x360 plays. I'll be suprised if ME3 gets any higher then it is now. I may play a bit of multiplayer, and just dawdle over my x360 playthrough in the hopes that some DLC or something FIXES the end, but i doubt that I would ever finish the game again, or just power off right after the london part. its a damn shame too. take me to the absolute cusp of elation only to crotch-punch me repeatedly right when I was completely vulnerable.

Betheda is good at creating vast worlds for player to explore, but they sucks just at everything else. Technically and storywise their games are overhyped pile of bugs - Bioware is ligh-years ahead of them in almost every aspect. And if you think that Bio is mishandling its community, then google: "NMA don't buy the hype".
I just want to belive that these ending are some kind of misunderstanding, rushed out or something. And I hope that it'll be FIXED, because it ruins the whole universe.
BTW, who wrote the endings? Seriously, who on earth thought it was a good idea!?

The most we'll get is a statement saying that they understand the frustration we feel, but it was ultimately their decision to end the series this way and they're happy with it.
These cries for DLC endings are a fantasy, I'm afraid. :-(

Don't give up the hope, history knows similiar cases - "Broken Steel", "Witch Hunt" (in the second one you could play even if you have chosen death).ratzerman wrote...

I don't expect them to answer. In fact I expect that they have been explicitly told to keep silent. What I expect to happen is one day within a week Stanley Woo and Chris Priestly as well as the rest of the moderator staff will start locking and threatening/directing the gamers to post ending dissatisfaction into one thread. This makes it easier to ignore everyone equally. This has been what they have done in the past and this is my expectation for the very near future. I just think they are waiting for things to die down a little.
Now as to if they will consider or even read what people express, I honestly don't know and that hurts me to say this having been a long term fan from the Interplay days. Post interplay bioware would have fixed this. I honestly doubt in fact this ending would have made it to release. They say they listen even now. I hope they do and I hope that they stop listening to whomever told them these endings were even remotely worthy of the rest of the game let alone the franchise.

Depends entirley on their long term stratedegy.
In the short term i suspect at this stage of the game they have made a ton of money on the game and i suspect a lot will follow. Dont forget there is in all likely hood a large player base out there that never even visit the forums and arent aware of the upset..so potentialy more sales still to follow. Despite the overwhelming hatred/disliking of the ending if it makes them money its suceeded. Good for the short term.
However if they do choose to ignore all the feedback/outrage/upset etc i can see it will hit future sales in the long term. We gamers arent forgiving at the best of times, nor do we forget. The fact that comparisons are being made to DA2 and people are still voicing negativity about that game should really be ringing alarm bells for them.
Please prove me wrong

Eventually. Maybe all this has caught them off guard and they are having a company wide meeting on deciding if anything needs to be done.

We actually have several threads which are discussing the endings: one for general endings discussion, one wishing for a better ending, one discussing a super secret ending, one discussing lack of closure, etc. Please join one of them.
That's why we don't need new threads. You would probably also want fewer, extremely popular threads so they will be more noticeable.Multiple little threads just looks like spam (ie. people not even looking at the existing threads in the forum before posting) to me.
thank you all for your enthusiasm and support.
End of line.
