the mission with the human ambassadors Son - where the **** should I go? The journal says something about a place called Benning but I can't find it. Or will I be able to see where it is after I've done a priority mission?
Or the citadel side quest - I mean, I don't find ANY of the things I am supposed to find (like that stuff for engineer Adams).

Nevertheless they still dont get tracked properly. Not to mention its a pain in the ass to find the turn-ins that dont show up with names on the map. Its also really annoying that most of them come from planet scanning or things you pick up during missions.
Considering you can get war effort stuff naturally from that anyways, why the hell put us through the timesink of running around the citadel doing all that crap?

But I agree the journal is confusing as hell in ME3. So far with some exploration of Citadel i've been able to complete every side mission.

You have to go back to the Spectre office once you done the evacuation of Benning. You can buy the information about him there or something like that.

It's one of the N7 missions - you'll get it soon enough. Apparently you just have to do the mission and come back. However, you need to do that mission ASAP, and then return to the Citadel right away, or else you won't get a chance to bring him the info.AvagerShepard wrote...
Yeah, I mean it doesn't tell me where I actually should go to do the sidequests. I noticed that some locations at in the galaxy map were blinking with light, at the locations the sidequests were. But not always.

I have the exact same problem. And not only with that case. You get no help at all.Mirajin wrote...
Yup, I'm in the same boat. This is a big WTF for me. The journal doesn't update, even after you finish a quest. And it's sorting mechanics are ass. No idea why they changed it from effective and useful to absolute trash.
I have been looking all over the Citadel after the soldiers who won't tell the ambassader what happende but I can't find him.

The journal does indeed suck as I've just discovered, on the indoctrinated Hanar quest. FFS, can't AT ALL tell the RPG stuff took a back seat to the shooting.
and the hanar quest is glitched so good luck with that one. Couple launch issues.

In any case, most of the quests are just planet scanning and artifact retrieval, so it's not that hard. As a matter of fact, the new journal no longer holds your hand so you actually get feel like you're exploring when you're trying to complete a quest

Listen most quests have map markers for hand ins. So just hop on the citadel look over all the maps and just find someone you do not recognize and go there to hand it in. If you have explored everywhere you can in the Galaxy map then go complete a priority mission to open up new areas. I figured this out in about an hour of playing the games.
Sounds like you all want a bunch of hand holding or else you'll get lost and confused. Also for the Benning mission you can find his dog tags on the ground and do not have to buy them. You only have to buy those things if you missed them during the mission they were on. It's intuitive but it doesn't tell you point for point where to go. Why not just go the Fable route and mark a quest and have a big gold line lead you everywhere until it's over.
