Hey all,

I just recently started getting this floating text, “CONV CONV” over my pc head. It seems to happen randomly and only with my original pc, does not occur with any of the companions or party members. The floating text seems to be happening everywhere on the map particularly when combat is initiated and I can’t for the life of me figure out why or how to stop it. I have uploaded a screen shot to give a better idea of what I’m talking about below.

Does anybody have any idea why this is happening and how to get
rid of it?

Maybe it is coming from a heartbeat script on the area or module. Or it could be in the perception script since it occurs in combat. If it happens when playing other people's modules then it may be something in your override folder.

There's a line in the on-percep script that initiates a conversation with the PC. It's controlled by variables or flags set on the NPC. Maybe some of those flags got set by mistake, "conv conv" as a barkstring sounds like a default placeholder, just enough nonsense to let you know to put a real conversation there.

Hey kamal! your wonderful, solved the problem. Man that was driving me nutz! I thought I was going to have to scrap my whole campaign.
