The state of the industry is beginning to concern me. 2011/2012 has been terrible for game stability. You expect to see smaller companies release games that require tweaking after the fact, but the last three Triple A titles I've purchased -- Skyrim, Kingdoms of Amalur, Mass Effect 3 -- have all been slammed with serious gameplay bugs.
What in the heck happened to quality assurance?
I realize they can't catch everything, but some of this stuff really ought to have been snuffed before the game went gold. Considering the issues it has now, imagine what it'd have been like had it shipped late last year, as was originally intended!
I just hope they actually fix it. Bethesda is struggling just to make Skyrim work and 38 hasn't even bothered releasing a patch for Amalur... I really hope Mass Effect doesn't get the same treatment.
