In my first play-through, my PC asked him to join in her tent, but for my second character I'd like to play a more demure role.

I was wondering if he ever offers to sleep with the PC on his own or if it falls to the PC every time?

Yes he will, but it takes longer. You can drag him in there yourself at Adore level (~80 points) or if you wait until after meeting his sister he should be at Love and 90-100 points, at which point he'll bring it up in camp.

Alistair will ask you if you get his approval up and wait long enough. It's really cute. Way better than asking him.

IIRC, you must meet his sister to have him ask you.



I just finished a game with Alistar at 100 approval for a good part of the mid-end game, but he never brought it up til I went to the sister's dwelling just before Landsmeet.

Well, provided with the only other straight romance option of Zevran - who unfortunately feels more like an afterthought to me more than anything else - I'd pick Alistair any day. Plus, I'm playing a Human Noble this time after finishing with a City Elf - I've got my sights set on the long-term!

I may go with Leliana with my human mage, but I quite like the idea of starcrossed lovers (Mage & ex-Templar)... so it could end up being Alistair again. :innocent:

That's what I did. Playing a female mage romancing Alistair, it fits really well.

And also, a question: Can you get Alistair to kiss you first instead of doing it yourself through dialogue, similar to the sex dialogue?

I think I got Alistair to kiss me first but I really don't remember what dialogue choice triggered that, I just recall being really surprised by the first kiss thing because he initiated it. And I don't blame anyone for falling in love with him multiple times.



On my current play through I have attempted to mix it up and go after Leilana and Zevran with my female dwarf (or rather Leilana came onto ME) and trying to be like war buddies with Alistair instead of a lover. Pretty sure all my future female characters will go for him though.

Yeah, my Dalish Elf turned down Alistair (he seems to crush very easy, lol) because she is not real trusting of humans even still and not to mention she had a thing for Tamlen who just went missing. After she finds out what happens to Tamlen, I had her fall for Zevran (after downloading a way hotter morph for him to replace his ugly default one >> and I was pleasantly surprised at how he develops through your romance. He CAN fall in love with your character, that's all I'll say! 

My human noble married Alistair and did the rirtual, now my female mage is with him too. xD

Maybe the trigger for Alistair to initiate the kiss is approval > 50-60, just guessing. I think it is the point where Alistair's behaviour shifts from "Interested" to "Care". IIRC, "Adore" is at 75-80.



If I was a girl (I'm a full-hetro guy), I probably would find Alistair appealing in a goofy way (remembers a local song about how women regard men as a bunch of idiotic pigs, and us guys do act the part 4 outta 5). None of my female characters expressed an interest in Zev.

Just be patient and Alistair will seduce your pc :



1) He will offer a rose

2) He will ask you if you gonna miss the darkspawn or him (not sure but will kiss PC in this dialog)

3) He will ask you sleep with you.
