So, the things done to correct the dreaded Activation screen wheel crash that seemed to have relevance.
Disabled Bullguard Heuristics (startup).
Punched holes in the firewall across all ports for ALL .exe programs from Origin and ME3.
Enabled ALL .exe as run as Admin
Used Revo uninstaller so I could use the disks again.
Re-installed ME3 and Origin (7th time lucky)
Regedit the path file to correct pathway.

that doesn't sound like it could go horribly wrong for the technologically ineptjohn-in-france wrote...
Ok, I went into the registry, and found....the path line for Mass Effect 3 was corrupted. I erased the line and added a new one with the correct pathway to the ME3.exe and it now runs.

Mahrac, you just made me laugh...I heard your comment in my head as Garrus speaking! LOL
Yes, I agree, regedit and the average gamer are so not compatible...
Oh I forgot to add, that 7th install, Origin was downloaded from the Origin website and updated to Pre-Release, before installing ME3 from disk. The disk Origin install hit a glitch....yeah....

After installing the game and pressing play, my computer blue screened and restarted. When I tried to load the game again all I receved was the "has stopped working error." I assumed that a file got corrupted, so I uninstalled me3 and deleted the associated "My documents" file, I also restarted the computer. Re-installing the game did nothing and I received the same error.
I tried the posted fix by replacing the awc and eacore files, but that had no effect. I have used the fix install button several times as well as runnig origin as administrator and downloading the game instead of using the dvds. So far nothing has worked. I have no firewall, my computer meets the game requirements and I have direct x 11.
Any ideas as to how to fix this? The game did start to launch the first time (pc crashed before actually loading) but never again afterwards and I have no idea where the corrupted file may be that is causing the problem.
This is my problem exactly. I've been talking with EA Game Advisors but nothing I have done helped the problem in any way.

Could you perhaps tell us where the key was and what exactly you changed?

Origin advice:
MASS EFFECT 3 PC CRASHING ISSUE
If you are having a crash issue with Mass Effect 3, you may need to download a patched version of the awc.dll and EACore.dll files in your game's EACore folder.
Here's the instructions:
Make sure Origin and your game are not running.
Download these file here: https://download.dm....sertest/awc.zip andhttps://download.dm.origin.com/usertest/EACore.zip
Unzip or extract the contents to your desktop.
Navigate to the binaries\\core folder:
Mass Effect 3 default is: C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3\\Binaries\\Win32\\Core
Make a backup copy of your AWC.dll and EACore.dll files
Move the new awc.dll and EACore.dll files from your desktop into the directory listed above.
Now run Origin and launch your game from Origin.

I got blue screen of death in game about an hour ago. After the restart the game has refused to load. I followed the instructions from the Origin help pages (twice) but no luck.

Hey guys. I installed from DVD and it finally launches. Origin is a real disappointment if you ask me.
My copy is a digital download from Origin, so I guess that probably won't fix it. I guess I'll just keep going with my ME1/ME2 replay until there's a patch.

Just as a note to those with this problem. I use XFire to take screenshots since despite having a screenshot folder we have no screenshot button. When opening ME3 with XFire already open I have constant startup crashes. If I close Xfire it starts immediately without problem. ME3 can crash as many as 8 or 10 times before functioning if XFire is open. I know many of you do not have XFire BUT on the offchance someone does, I hope this is useful.
Damn i just unistalled ME3... i'll try installing it again and closing xfire

It's confirmed, XFIRE is an issue! Installed it, played fine, made xfire recognize the game, tried the game again, had problem. Closed XFIRE and the game works just fine!
Many thanks!
