From Ashes didn't install correctly. Even though it was included on the disk when it was shipped. Game worked fine untill the first 3 mission choices, where it would not respond during the loading screen. I then repaired From Ashes and now the game crashes as described above. I've tried all of the problems nothing works. The only way to enjoy the first hour of the game over and over again is not installing from Ashes.

Game will run with xfire on, just disable x-fire in game and you're good to go!

Hey man, I'm having the same problems as you, my game always says 'Mass Effect 3 has stopped working', which is the same as crashing at launch Posted Image

Darn, I wanna fix this soon, I really wanna continue playing this!

Well, today my game stoped working, I tried all of the ideas above but for nothing. I don't know if it is any different, but after launching game not only ME3 stops responding, whole system crashes

This is how I fixed my problem.
First, I copied all game files from my roommate computer, who installed game from discs and then I replaced my old game files. I don't know how, but it worked for me.
Cheers, hope this will help some of you.

Just to add another person to the list.

For me the game fails to launch (no error message, just breifly appears in task manager). I have tried all the advice in this thread (except the one about regedit as I wasn't sure which variable was being modified) to no avail. Have reinstalled both Origin and ME3 twice, from disk and via download.

Game was working perfectly last night (NZ time), but today: nothing. Quite a depressing way to spend my saturday morning.

If any of the devs would like more information I'm happy to provide it.

Well, figured out a solution for my machine at least.

Left ME3 installed and did a manual uninstall of Origin. I followed the instructions here: https://help.ea.com/...stalling-origin

Note that the instructions are are slightly out of date. I couldn't find some of the locations they mention ("EF7E931D-DC84-471B-8DB6-A83358095474").

I also cleared the entire contents of c:/ProgramData/Electronic Arts, and My Documents/Bioware/Mass Effect 3 for good measure. The /Mass Effect 3 folder is unlikely to be the fix as I've tried deleting that before.

Then I reinstalled Origin and the game is (currently) working.

Okay now I'm seriously frustrated, especially with Origin. So I decided to try reinstalling ME3 again, but after uninstalling, I tried to install from disc again but Origin always crashes when the installation is starting. I thought it may have been a problem with Origin, so I uninstalled and reinstalled Origin as well. After installing the latest Origin update, I tried once again to install ME3, and Origin still crashes! Whenever it crashes, I do not receive any notifications whatsoever. Now I'm trying to install ME3 by download from Origin, in hopes that it doesn't crash this way. It's really frustrating to have spent so much for the N7 Collector's Edition, just to have this problem acting up!

My problem was: would start ME 3, it would show as running in the task manager, but wouldn't launch. I tried almost everything on these boards. In a thread for advice on another type of problem (FPS), this is what I found that  solved my issue:

Slayer27 wrote...

[edit] .... If so try going into nVidia control panel and under 3D
Settings link, Program Control tab bring up your ME3.exe and under Power
Management change it to Prefer Maximum Performance. This will make the
card run full speed(even during movies) for the game if it has the
nVidia hybrid mode available.

Tried this. Game launched for the first time with no issues.

Agreed, Bioware shouldn't have put this on Origin. Thanks to Origin I can't even reinstall my game!

Any info from BIOWARE about how to fix the issue of the game not launching would be greatly appreciated. All attempts using the suggestions on this forum and the Orgin Forum have ended in failure.

Nope, none of those work.

Only fix is... don't install from origin.

My game worked for 3 weeks, since today, it simply don´t work any longer.

Does anyone else have fixes for a game not working all over a sudden?

Over the last couple days mine has started experiencing this I think.

If you you right-click on the Mass Effect 3 tab in the task bar and then hit close, it will often then start the game. However, it seems to be getting ever increasingly more picky about when it works.
