Well since Ea's customer support is merely a joke ill share a quick fix that helped me out. Its kinda legal since i have bought and paid for the game.I had the same problem that it simply wont start when i clicked on it in origin, so i tried the dll replacements reinstallations and what ever with no help. But thank god for the russians . Just google mass effect 3 crack should give u skidrow website and there u can find a mass effect 3 crack u just put that over your old mass effect 3 exe and voila! good to go. Worked on my pc every time. With that i played the single player campaign thru with no problems and multiplayer works well too with the minor exception you cant invite friends to your multiplayer matches you have to go with random noobs

I had a power blackout while playing and now it won't launch. The blackout came while I was on the Geth dreadnought. I was going towards the fighters, the game did its auto-save and ZAP! the power is gone. I restarted the computer, but the game's dead.

I tried the uninstall-reinstall route, still not working. It won't even start.

I launch the game -> Origin login -> game launches and at the BioWare logo clip it crashes. I get a black screen and an error message.

Please help, it's extremely annoying.

What about DLC and other Deluxe edition bonuses. Cause it's almost been 4 weeks and I'm bloody tired of this. 4 weeks and I can't play what I spent $80 on. In the business world I would have already received a refund or compensation for my troubles. So if DLC and such works, I'll just do this.

Yep same here, after the customer support ran thru there script of fixes, i got put on "the top of their priority lis" for fixing the problem and that they would email as soon as they could. Well 1 week and no email makes Jake a mad zombie. So im gonna give the russian thing a go. But i also have the collector edition of the game. will there be a compatability issue with the crack?

Found what stafu mentioned, it took a little digging but i found what i was looking for. And yes now i can play my game!!! thanks to a crack. Its obvious the issue is with Origin i couldnt tell you what exactly but if a crack lets me start the game then there is nothing wrong with the install. Also i hate origin.
But since ive decided to play thru ME2 ( i figured EA support would have emailed me by the time i finished the campain on Hardcore) as Femshep, ill just finish that and jump on ME3 when im done.

Lord serion, I think the problem might be in your savegame files since it was autosaving and the blackout occured while saving that could screw with your game. You might wanna move your save files to another folder for awhile and try starting the game. And if that works you might have a chance to use your old saves if you just delete your newest autosave / the local save. Note that u probably will loose your achievements if you do that. unless you have the cloud storage on origin . So the default save file should be like
C/Users/Yourprofile/documents/bioware/mass effect 3 /Save
So if you move that save file to another folder for awhile it could start working again.


PS Im only a gamer not a coder so these solutions are shot from the hip, But i trust in fools luck

Ntertain, You can allways try it. finding the crack and applying isnt much work just need to find the game path and try it on. Since the game aint working anyways whats the risk of trying ?
Since my multiplayer and campaign works fine and it actually contacts ea network with the crack i doubt that you wont have eny problems with the Dlc's.
NOTE THAT, you will only override the old exe with the new exe file, So its A MUST that u do a backup of the old original exe eventhou it doesnt work ? then u can allways moan and groan at EA customer support later

Well it worked wonders.. So it's obviously Origin causing the issue. DLC however does not activate, nor do my bonus weapons.

Ea hey... or bioware... if ya looking for a social kinda guy with a mandate to help people with poorly made games or patches... im willing to help just pay me bout 11-15 euros an hour and ill do my best to make people to be able to enjoy their games

I would like to get contacted by the support team soon. Cause i have the weird notion of this startup crash being caused by the time and date validator program (u know the 1 u run thru b4 u can actually play the game ) it somehow bugs on some computers and Screws with the ME3.exe.
I think that this program could be solved with a properly working exe i just need to get it from some1 who has installed it normally on their pc with english properties.

I just did this fix which I found in this thread, and I can play the game again for the first time in 3 weeks! It's a simple and quick fix. SO MUCH GRATITUDE, LORNATH.

There was no Resume on the main screen, and on the Load screen a message came up saying "One or more save games have been corrupted. Delete corrupted saves? Y/N" which means I lost a load of planet scanning. But it makes sense that it was the autosave that had corrupted because my computer crashed when I entered a system. Still, I now get to actually play the game I paid for.

Edit: though I have lost my accomplishments, but I'm not sure if that's because I repair installed a week or so ago through Origin to see if that would fix the problem.

Interesting, I had the same issue and solved it by the same way. (App crash, 0-byte local profile after game crash) and reverting to an older file to fix the cloud save issue would give me a two week old copy of the file. But simply deleting it and starting it would give me a copy just before the crash ?? Weird that I can't "revert" to the latest working copy. This must be a bug... But anyway, deleting works for me (don't choose the "revert" option") .. I then made a backup of my own (manually). I'd suggest others to do the same, and keep backups on a regular basis.

I tried booting ME3 today for the new DLC and it crashed on startup. I tried replacing awc.dll and EACore,dll. Nothing. My Local_Profile wasn't corrupted and my Documents folder was fine, so I tried this:

I've been dealing with this problem for 5 weeks now. Nothing on any website thus far has done anything, and trying to get tech help is futile. my case has been "escalated" for a month now, NOTHING has been said to me from the so-called "game specialists". how about this bioware, take some of ea's dirty money and give all of us who you've screwed out of $60-80 free games for life? I think that would about cover the cost of a broken game and HORRIBLE customer service.

I tried to do some TexMod stuff with my game. Caused it to crash, looked unfixable. SOOO I uninstall the game, and reinstall it. The same problem? It doesn't make any sense at all. It worked PERFECTLY before that. And since I reinstalled the game, the files should be fine?

Since instaling the patch the game crashes on the intro to the horizon mission. It looks at Shepard then as it pans over it crashes. I updated all drivers for video and sound. Anyone else getting this issue or has anyone found a way to solve it?

Still valid, I had to use a cracked .exe today after nights of searching for a solution. It has been down since Monday for me as far as I can recall. I managed to get it running again on Tuesday night but on Wednesday she was down again after a small 15 mb patching process. I don't think I'll be able to play online though, it complains about lacking the Resurgence package when I log in.

Is anyone else having issues with msvcr80.dll?

My game run for 2 weeks then it didn´t and didn´t install. I re-installed windows to fix this and overcome the awc.dll issue by downloading and replacing it.

But now it´s msvcr80.dll and the game is looking for it in winsxs folder which is strongly protected by windows...

Possible solution. I don't know if this will help, but one thing I found that completely stopped the crashing, I reset to Default my Key Bindings. For whatever the reason, The main culprit seemed to be the middle mouse button. If I changed it at all, the game crashed...hope this helps someone.
