I'm a longtime fan of your games, and I hate to say this, but you falsely advertised this game. You repeatedly & publicly stated that it would be the most open-ended and choice-driven game in the trilogy. It clearly is not. The anger that people are feeling over the ending is just a symptom of that. If nothing else a public apology for the false statements is in order.
Hey that false advertising has generated 3.5m sales

So they do realise that it worked well even if it meant non ethical to the rest of the community.

Are you Nancy Grace? She is always trying to hold people accountable like she is responsible for them as well.
I don't even know who this person is. Are you saying this in an attempt to dismiss my point without dealing with it? If you bought a new car because the company said it had 450HP!!! and then you took it to a tech & they confirmed it only had 250, don't you think you'd be a bit miffed? Bioware LIED about what this game could do. That's not unimportant.

What are you talking about? Held accountable? Yeah, held accountable for making a kickass game.
Regardless of whether or not some like the story, it was *advertised* as being the most variable (open-ended). It isn't. That's false advertising.

The game is not open-ended. I won't comment on the ending because of the spoiler issue. When they advertised the game's openess they said the whole game (not just the ending) would be the most variable of the three, and that the choices we made in ME1&2 would have even more conscequence. That is not true, and even a cursory glace at the story/gameplay threads will confirm that.
Check out Skyrim...you may enjoy it.

I actualy disliked it because of lack of dialogue choices.

You've got one weird definition of "happy ending".neenee77 wrote...
I don't understand what your talking about. It is open ended. there are happy endings. they are all different. plus there are different variations depending on your playthroughs. I don't see any false advertising at all.

Giving you no choice at all (Skyrim) isn't synonymous with "open ended".brunomalta wrote...

Not at all. If they wanted to tell a novel-type story that's perfectly fine with me. I have no issue with that. I've played many, many rpg's that were completely linear. That's not the point I'm trying to make. One of Bioware's biggest selling points was that we had the most *choice* in this installment. That isn't true. So whether it's a good game or not is beside the point I'm making. They were false in what they claimed.

Just FYI most people probably know anyway Shipped means sent to stores for sale not actually sold. May well see something similiar to what happened with FFXIII , that game sold something like 6-8 million. But FFXIII-2 barely reached 2.
If people do feel that Bioware miss-sold the game like the OP , then there will be a similiar drop off over the next title.
It's not the game I wanted, but it is a good game. Which is why I'm not going all Dragon Age 2 on it.
The endings totally drag it down though and make it not worth playing.
Ideally I'd want a skip to Citadel function so I could bypass Earth and Mars then just ignore the endings and that cuts most of the dead flesh.

Of course I did not play me2 50 times to get the perfect ending. My shep made mistakes and I payed for them the hard way in me3.
Sometimes I think you guys don't play me3. And only read the spoiler forums.

this, i got my perfect ending in one playthrough, but the game takes in account of what happens in the other games, which play out more outcomes
