My god, Morrigan is a great character in theory, but when you have her in your group she freaking complains about EVERYTHING. If I did everything the way she wanted, my character would be gimped from the lack of quests and XP. Every other character is easy to please, and even when you do something they don't like it doesn't take much off (Except for maybe Leliana). On my next playthrough I'm going to try and kill her...or NOT do something for her which could have dire consequences for her later on *wink wink*

I really wish there was an option to kill her.

Not joking.

Meh, on my dwarf Morriagn is at 100% approval and I have never given her a gift, nor have I skipped out on any sidequests and she is with me all the time.. All depends on how you RP your character.

She is -30 with my character.

No gifts for her!

She isn´t acting like a b**** on purpose i think. She just has very different views on everything. Don´t forget she was alone (except her "mother") for the most part of her live and didn´t live in socitey. With that in mind it´s quiet easy to pick the right answers to gain either influence with her or don´t angry her too much and thus hardly lose any.

My warrior play through had her around basically all the time. When she ever disapproved, it was only about -3 or something. Keep in mind that most of the time she is never "pissed off" but rather annoyed or mildy disappointed. I annoyed her a lot, but she stayed and then some:)

Gifts are wonderous things.

I'd never try and kill any character that that asked to join my party. If I have no need of them, I just leave them in camp. No need to kill them, and you can talk to them and give them gifts and get them liking you without ever having them in your active group.

I did the same thing in Mass Effect. I accepted everyone's offer to join, but only ever used Ashley and the rogue chick whose name escapes me. I did however talk to nearly everyone on the ship between missions and I had no problem convincing Krogan to see my way on that certain planet. I had a very good persuade rating though.

I like Morrigan. She generally agrees with my male mage PC.

The casual sex probably doesn't hurt.

I wanted to kick Ashley off my ship.  I really hated her.

for my character, it's always Alistair who's the whining little b****. After he complained about a choice I made (I'll leave the spoilers out of this), I settled him down, then he brought it back up and cried about it at camp, I was about done. Picked up Shale and Shelved Al. I like the banter between Alistair and the other group members, but I was just tired of listening to him whine about every decision I made.

Sten is another bad one. At least he doesn't talk much. Next play through, I'm leaving that miserable jerk in his cage.

Morrigan though, well, she complained once that ticked me off (she suggested my eventual choice, then because it involved her got mad that I didn't ask her first /fistshake) but otherwise she generally approves of everything. I guess she just can't get enough of that "grey warden stamina".;)

She didn't bother me, but I ended up being a freaking all the way Paragon or whatever you called it, I was so spotless and clean it's sad really. I just can't do evil stuff, I feel actual guilt as if I was actually doing them. It causes a great deal of real life anxiety. I tried replaying KOTOR and going the sith route but I just couldn't do it. Same with Mass Effect and same with Dragon Age. Course, it would be nice if they added a kind of chaotic good answer. I hate that it's either "Yes, I'll save your kitten, and no you don't have to reward me a billion gold, the Sword of Infinite Awesome, and your very hot daughter. In fact, let me give you everything I have plus all my gold and my first born because you are so poor" or "Ok, i'll save this world which i also inhabit, but in exchange bring unto me all the virgins of all of the lands, all your money and a few babies cause i'm hungry. I had some kitten on the way, but they just gave me gas"

Also, i did choose her to be my romantic option/girl I wanted to bed so i felt the need to group with her, though honestly I prolly didn't have to to bed her.

As for Al, he's never lasted. He's got good dialouge, but he's crap at least on me. Dies a lot and so forth. I also get rid of the first guy they give me in most Bioware games (KOTOR and Mass Effect)..they just watch the ship.

She's very hot and dressed to kill. I kept in her robe for the whole of the first play through. In fact, seeing her outfit was just one more "small" reason to buy the game.

Damn her magic bra!

I think Morrigan is the most compelling and complex character written in the game. Her reactions are often surprising, especially in the higher relationship numbers, and I think her attitudes are the most consistent and realistic with her "character". Doesn't necessarily make her my favorite, I but do find her very interesting, and appreciate that some thoughtful writing and design was put into who she is and what she's about.

Meh.  Leave her at camp before you run around accepting quests, and then trot her out to kill stuff.  Most maps will let you reorder your party. Take her out of the party before you cash in the quests.

No need to listen to her gripe at you for your choices, and outside of cutscene type conversations she's mostly needling Alistair or other party members anyway.

I would also like to point out that the choice of Claudia Black to do her voice was a great one, though it's been said before. I don't think any other voice actor in the game fits the character so well. It makes her all the more sexy. It helps that Claudia Black is hot in real life of course. Corrine or Corrina Kemp is pretty easy to look at as well (Leileana)

Yes she is way too hot. I only hope girls dress like her for Halloween next year!!!!! The Chastened robes look the same on her and Leliana. Hopefully I will find Morrigan esque clothing for Leliana soon.

She reminds me of quite a few girls I know. Just tune out her mouth and feed her jewelry. She's a simple enough creature. The game prettymuch tells you that she is shallow and materialistic. She reminds me of a real person more than anyone besides Wynne.

Well I'm told, but i'm to anti-social to actually go and find out, that girls at night clubs dress very similarlly to Morrigan and are prolly just as full of themselves.

Also, all the female toons that you can control have bikini hidden under their clothing, just remove it in inventory, but don't tell anyone it's a big easter egg:)

The only thing you'll catch in a night club are:
1.) Idiots
2.) Canned Music
3.) An Empty Wallet
4.) STDs

Morrigan doesn't strike me as the type of girl who'd be interested in going to a club. You'd not find any real life Morrigans there.

Perhaps try a library.

Tali is cute and awesome.

Ashley is pointless. Pure soldiers were practically useless, compared to Wrex and the others.

I guess you haven't seen the Dragon Age Wiki on Morrigan yet then?  Here's the non-spoiler trivia about her:

  • Morrigan is used as the face of the game because, according to Mary Kirby, "she best symbolizes the world and the conflicts within it."[2]
  • Actress Kate Mulgrew, who plays Morrigan's mother Flemeth, has
said that "Morrigan is innocent. She is beautiful. She is vulnerable."[3]
  • When asked to compare a list of NPC companions to food, BioWare employee Cori May described Morrigan as "the darkest of dark chocolates; bitter but rich."[4]
  • If the party was going out for a drink, writer Sheryl Chee has said, Morrigan would "refuse to partake in any such foolishness."[5]
