So am I missing something here? I get a side quest to uncover a Hanar council rep being indoctrinated, I find one update for it in the spectre area and can't find any more, the log says search the Council area for clues no progress.

I take another side quest where a diplomat is looking to see what happen to his lost marine son and claims his squad is at the nightclub and won't tell him what happened. I hear ambient conversation of members of his squad talking about his death but can find no one to talk to to update the quest.

This is starting to get frustrating being a completionist and knowing about the whole "have to play MP to increase readiness" bs.

The Hanar diplomat quest seems to be bugged for most people. I know it was for me.

The diplomat son one I only found the ending to through random luck. I thought it was the soldier in the bar as well. But then I went to a planet and came back to talk to him and Shepard was all, "I found your sons body blah blah". I was shocked because I didn't remember that happening.

I can't remember the name of the planet. But it was one of the N7 missions, where you have to rescue civilians from Cerberus. I remember the planet started with a B. Benning or something similar.

Sorry I can't be more helpful :( Am at work so I can't in my game journal or anything.

The Diplomat can be done if you make sure to authorize first, then get the terminal then go to other parts of the station and get them.

The son thing was tricky, if you forgot to pick up the dog tags after learning about it from that ambassador that we saw in the Embassy, you can get it through the black market instead.

Thank you both. Nice that the quest log is about as vague as vague can be.
