Also, just once, I'd actually like to see some visual damage to the Reapers not just them exploding without any actual physical reason why.

To add another complaint.. a giant worm can kill a reaper but you can't defeat them with your huge fleet? *facepalm*.
A giant worm beat a 160 meter destroyer reaper that couldn't adapt properly to taking on Thresher Maws, 2 kilometer space ship fleets totalling 100's is a bit harder to deal with.

The maw was like "this is my planet fool!"
The reaper drives it off and was like "Weren't so tough were ya?"
Then the maw gets it from behind and was like "Gotcha &!%$!"
Hmm lots of was like in this post. *shrugs*

The Reaper was a Reaper destroyer, not a Reaper capital ship like Sovereign. It's only about 1/10th the size of Sovereign and that Thresher Maw is probably the most powerful organic lifeform in the galaxy. Being that Thresher Maws eat metals I can easily see it being capable of destroying a lesser reaper.

Don't forget that the Thresher Maw also had appetizers of the entire Krogan force.

If it did I wonder if there would be risk of huskification?

Didn't we already see this scene fully in trailers beyond trailers beyond trailers?

I don't know which trailer you saw but I didn't see the scene fully. All I saw of the scene was the Thresher Maw jumping out at the Reaper so I figured there was going to be a fight. I didn't expect the Thresher Maw to actually destroy the Reaper, I figured it was just going to distract it like Wrex suggested.

Poor Wreav. I kinda liked him when I met him in ME2 in my "as many bad choices as possible" playthrough.

Yeah it was pretty cool. The Reaper was literally facing off against an ancient Krogan God. I haven't beaten Mass Effect 3 yet but it has literally been one epic scene after another. Friggin LOVE THIS GAME!

That's why the battle is epic, BUT... is stated the other races fall because the Citadel is their seat of power. Their seat of power and intelligence/influence is destroyed before they can tell what is happening and assumedly their majority fleet is also wiped out quickly due to not knowing wtf is going on.
However in OUR cycle... they don't get to do this. They do it to one minor race, the Batarians but the others are still capable of fighitng back due to retreating and gathering up. They also all, or a majority of them, have the new thannix cannons that are supposed to resemble Reaper weapons.

The majority of the Reaper fleet is supposed to be those Destroyers however, according to what I read in the Codex unless I'm mistaken. No reason we can't kill those.

the worm wrapped itsself around the reaper and pulled it underground. Unless the fleet can do that your complaint is irrelevant. lol
