I think it's silly for people to assume that just because people hated the ending, that they wanted something that was all puppy and rainbows. We just wanted something that made sense.
Honestly, why is Joker even going through a Relay? That would imply they're running away. We already got to Earth, so having them stranded in some random congo on another planet, that's just killing them off. There's no closure.
The Relays, though destroyed, have destroyed the economy. Without FTL travel getting to those other systems is now rendered almost impossible. So, despite the Reapers invasion being stopped, it's as though we lost the war anyway.
There was no memorial service for our efforts either. If I had gotten Anderson to live, it would have been nice to see him giving a speech. But, instead we got that. All of our choices, they meant nothing. And that's where this problem lies, among other things that leave questions.
So, before you small percentage complain about our complaining, realize the reality is that you're justifying bad writing. You're telling Bioware, what they did was okay. And it's not. Your fandom should not outweigh this issue. Playing renegade or paragon, all those choices we made, they mean nothing now.
The reality is, Bioware admitted they didn't know what they were doing. They didn't plan out anything. This was not the game, Uncharted, where they had everything planned from the beginning. They were literally just winging it, and if they want to restore any faith in their audience, those endings need to change, to reflect our choices, instead of coping out in the style of Deus Ex: HR.

TL;DR = No closure. No memorial service. No, nothing. We just wanted something bittersweet. That didn't make us feel good at all.

There should be different degrees on the endings from choices you made throughout the series. There should be a happy ending, a bad ending, and an ending where things don't go too well or too wrong or more endings like that. We don't need one happy ending, we need a variation of endings instead of just one ending where the galaxy is doomed and the choices you made in the previous games don't matter at all. There needs to be some middle ground, not just extreem bleekness.

There are a couple mega threads discussing endings (in general). Please consolidate your posts into one of those threads. You don't need your own.
As the infamous Bryan Johnson would say, you shall not pass.
