First Dragon Age 2, now Mass Effect 3.

That's 2 games from BioWares that have disappointed me majorly, and I paid a lot for DA2 Collector and ME3 Collector...

That's 2 strikes... one strike left.

---

The Ending and a lot of the issues of course are the main reason, but... I don't like a lot of the immersion breaking things they did.

Both of these i actually liked. The only of who was a disgrace to me was Star Wars. I played the Beta and hated it.

I did get TOR but... the decision on that is still up for debate right now.

ME3 has an overwhelming disapproval and DA2 had an overwhelming disapproval.

Just take a look at DA 2 sales compared to DA 1 and then how they just stop, also take a look at all the returns. People are already talking about returning a lot of copies of ME3.

Please stop comparing two games that aren't made by the same department. Also, ME 3 underwent several years of development. You might not like the ending(s) or some elements of story ( I sure don't like some of them), but that doesn't mean the game was rushed in anyway whatsoever in comparison to DA II.

If you were a fan of DA2 and actually bought it, you'd know that the only "CE" was signature and that was for pre-ordering. It was stil sixty bucks.

Unless you bought it from somewhere online, well...

I know enough about companies to know that the whole "department" thing isn't actual realistic.

I can sympathise the ending just sucks the enthusiasm out of you since you will be getting the same thing in a different colour.

I want a skip Earth/Mars button then I could just play the middle (best bit).

The same was said about DA2... and block buster was full of returned copies and Amazon was forced to accept returned copies, and a lot of other stuff happened with that game, sales were abysmal after you factored in all the returns and the fact people stopped buying it.

As for ME3... returns are actually already being made.

I bought the game and didn't really care for it and I'm a Star Wars fan.

Not if they're under the same department control such as EA and thus have the same issues.

DA2 felt like a job to me, in regards to playing, it was abysmal in terms of level design and repetitive content, and it was terrible in the form of their bosses, terrible.... ugh it hurts to even think of some of their boss design.

Yeah they will. And sell it on monday. By the time I take my ME3 rental back (starts officially today) the shelves will be full of used copies of ME3.

It's got nothing to do with being a fan or not, thats how the casual market works.

Everyone I've spoken to has mixed feelings on it. They like the main bulk, hate the nasty endings.

ME3 is going to be in the used bin everywhere in large quantities because of the endings.

Multiplayer - which I think was very well done - might mitigate the used copies somewhat but the outrage over the endings is immense.

It's still hard to believe this got past creative meetings and focus groups. I keep wondering if the endings are actually the product of executive meddling. A single person, or a small group with no concept of what constitutes good storytelling and no understanding of what fans liked about the characters believing they were creating something epic and artful and holding the power to make it happen.

I thought I would drop this for consideration. It's a simple change they could add to the ending, a fourth option with branching consequences of its own, but I think it would make all the difference in the world.

well ive never played DA so i cant speak on that but ur right there will be people who return the game for whatever reasons, but there wont be any mass returns from millions of heartbroken fans like you guys here are making it sound. i guarentee you for every person returning the game there are two people buying one especially since those over seas are just getting theirs today

DA2 had hundreds of thousands, pretty sure it was more than that. You can't insult your community and get away with it.

The sites like vgcharts and the like give an 8 week basis usually, that's a good comparison to see trends, so after 7 more weeks we'll have good charts to see the sales and then the lack of sales, these will later be modified after returns are factored in.

Those are not sales figures.

Disk swapping alone will lead to a ton of returns on the Xbox. People are lazy they object to swapping disks once let alone every half hour or more.
