Ah yes. The most time honored of BSN arguments.

-Professional reviews are all bought. The only reviews that matter are one line user reviews and BSN

-Sales numbers are always unreliable unless it doesn't sell well, in that case they're reliable. Even if they are reliable, it's only because of the game before.

-GOTY awards are stupid. Particularly the ones voted on by the general public. Disregard point 1 in that case.

People already had these things confirmed once gamespot and a few other companies started firing people for not rating highly enough, and everyone knew it.

I rented it, and couldn't get through it. It's that bad, that I returned it after about 12 hours. There are better action games out there, but I was expecting an RPG that would transfer the saves from the past two games. Guess the information on the game was wrong.

yea you must not have ever been a fan in the first place because even the haters agree that the middle part of the game is amazing

You're totally right! I just spent money on all those new BW games I registered for s**ts and giggles. I also did 5 Shepards that each went through ME1 and ME2 twice because I like to waste time. It's not like I was expecting a third game that I could import and actually have them impact the game differently

Odd. Jack remebered that I kept the Collector base. Wrex remembered that I gave him his dad's armor. Mordin still had the data on the genophage we kept and killing Maleon.

In short, my game transfered perfectly. Don't know what happened to you.

I got hiccups in my transfer. It was for 2nd femshep. Liara didn't remember LOTSB, her face didn't import but everyone had that problem. But that was in reference to the endings. No matter your decisions, the endings aren't impacted by the,

I stopped playing there because the story didn't give me a reason to care and continue on. While playing, the control of your Shepard is taken out of your hands, so the feel of an RPG was absent from the beginning But ask anyone who's finished and they'll tell you no matter what you did, it wont affect the outcome.

Okay. I didn't feel it was taken out of my hands. I decided on the genophage. I decided on the rachni. I've made quite a few decisions. Most of them quite important.

As far as the endings go, I don't need to ask anyone. I have the game, I'll decide for myself.

What I think is a real shame is that the vast majority of the game was absolutely phenomenal. Up to the very end, the game had me, I was so excited for it, I couldn't put it down. After the endings, though, instead of immediately starting up another run like I did for ME2 (and for ME1 I immediately put in ME2), I stared at the title screen a bit, then alt+f4'd. I have a NG+ started now because I heard there is a different ending for it, and really that's all that makes me want to play it.

Like I said, it's a damn shame. The game is wonderful, but the end just ruins the whole thing (and the two before it).

Where are your Rachni fleets then.

It's not that you don't make important choices... it's that they don't matter in the end. You'll see and not just for the ending scene either but the battle leading to it.

I loved the prologue, loved the center of the story, HATED the endings. The last 12 minutes of the game completely debunked the last 2 games when it comes to continuity & plot. Hours of gameplay and 5 years in the making all flushed down in a matter of minutes. If ONLY they can redo that last part, somehow, redo it and offer it as a DLC (make it free) than the game would be top-notch. So many questions I wanted to ask in the end but was never given an option to!

Blah!

I am not gonna play it again at least for now... The game is fine, but it's too much to see my renegade Shepard "suffering" for the death of an specific NPC in the beginning of the game.

If you're referring to the child at the beginning, there is actually a legitimate explaination from the artbook: instead of just being "some kid," he is supposed to represent all of the people on Earth that Shepard could not save.  They did a terrible job (i.e. did not even hint at this) during the game of explaining that, though.

I prefered my explanation that he was a certain something messing with Shepards head through his implants.

Rational people not haters. Haters hate everything don't ya know. Hater is like the opposite of fanboy who just blindly like everything even when it's bad.

The general discussion thread is such a facade when you look at the spoiler discussion thread of people who've beaten the game.

Oh to be innocent.

The ending brings up so many issues I can't stomach another go at the game. It's a shame because I think most of the rest of it is excellent (minus a few sloppy death scenes).
