I had a nightmare experience with this, and I thought I'd share what I had to do, and how it was resolved.
* Back in April 2011, my local power company had a couple brown outs that fried my MB and HD. It had been so long I'd forgotten my password. This occurred the exact same week I changed ISPs.
* When I got back up and running on a new PC and PM'd Chris to get back in he told me what I needed to do, but my EA account sent my password to my defunct e-mail account. Then I lucked out and found a link in a folder that the tech at the shop that built my PC recovered and was able to log in. Still since this was connected to my old defunct e-mail I was unable to make any changes.
* when BSN made the changes over a week ago in anticipation of the ME3 launch it killed that link. So I got back in using my BF3 Origins account. But as of Monday, this forum became unavailable.
* I called XBox Live to find out what I needed to do. They gave me the EA customer service number.
* I called them yesterday. The EA rep was extremely helpful in getting my XBox Live account/Origins/BSN accounts all linked. But he needed some verification to do it. How? I still had my Cerberus ID Card Code from ME2. I was going through some papers and found the card on Sunday and was wondering if I'd ever need it again, but something told me to put it in the ME2 box since I was just finishing up the game for the final play-through.
That did it. That was the omni-gel. The support person stayed on the phone with me while I logged into BSN and at first it logged in under the old BF3 "Julia343" then as soon as I registered ME3 the screen did this funny crazy thing like "data corruption" then everything got registered correctly.
So please note this: it is strongly advised that you not have your XBox Live account linked to your ISP e-mail. --> I know I'm an idiot for this, but I'd had the ISP account for almost a decade.
Their customer support is quite overwhelmed right now with the new releases. Just be tactful on the phone and if you don't have what they ask for, ask something like "will such and such work?" They'll check with their supervisor, and be right back with you, and chances are that will do the trick.
Re-opening your BSN account and XBox 360
