I have just started the single player campaign, and I noticed that when I press Shift to use a power or change the quickslots the weapon/power menu freezes, and as I keep shift pressed for some seconds I hear several beeps and the mouse pointer moves like the frame rate dropped remarkably, until I release Shift and the game returns normal. I also found out that this problem can be circumvented by tapping another key (like 'S') while keeping shift pressed: this makes the power menu work as normal.
Any idea about what might cause this issue?

I had a similar issue with the multiplayer demo, pressing the mouse button repeatedly would sometimes cause the game to lag for a moment and i would hear several beeps.

EDIT:  I get the aforementioned mouse bug in the full game too, while firing repeatedly a weapon when aiming with the right mouse button

Maybe I found the solution. Try to set off the in-game Origin panel. (Origin-Options-In game-Turn off the panel)

maybe check you have sticky keys or whatever turned off under Windows (under Win 7 I think this is found in the "Ease of Access Center" in the control panel) - I think that holding down/repeatedly pressing shift are ways activate it.

Looks like it works, damn Origin!

That's the first thing I checked and it was disabled

I am experiencing severe framerate issues when pressing shift, makes the game barely playable. I assume this issue is caused by Origin, please fix this...

Today I played with ingame Origin menu turned off and the bug keeped presenting itself. Still disabling the ingame menu fixed some other bugs I had, so I suppose it's still an issue caused by Origin

Same thing happening to me. It makes the game really unplayable. The strange thing is that it began to happen in the middle of the game.
