Why did Bioware make Diana Allers when Emily Wong would make way more sense?

Emily Wong was a previously established reporter character who has a history of working with Shepard and was actually fairly interesting.

She isn't even in the game anymore, even though I don't think I was alone in liking her. Why did Emily Wong just get ditched by Bioware, even though they created an entirely new character just to fill the role she already had?

Cause new is good.

Or are you just fishing for complaints about using marginal internet personalities to rub elbows with popular game reviewers?

.....I honestly am not even sure what you're accusing me of with this. Did I miss something?

I would have liked Emily Wong but I guess they wanted a couple of people that didn't have a history with Shepard on-board the Normandy so the new players wouldn't feel left out.

They want to use her character in a better place....Emily Wong's final use is on of the best use for a character ever.:crying:

Not only is Emily Wong not in the game, she was killed off on Twitter.

As for your question, who knows? My personal guess is they just wanted someone else in the game based on a "celebrity" so that they would seem more pop culturally relevant.

I'm not even sure what use she has because she never does anything on the ship except take up space.

I love Emily Wong, but I liked what they did with the twitter feeds pre-launch. It was an epic end. Does anyone actually have a real problem with Diana Allers though? She's pretty cool too.

Sorry but killing Emily Wong off-screen on Twitter was a bad end to the character. The Tweets may have been good but not everyone uses Twitter.

It would have been nice to hear little audio snippets of it on radio stations on the Citadel.

Because new players wouldn't know who she is, and they'd rather use a celebrity appearance character. It has more market appeal.

I wonder what Emily is up... maybe I'll find out later.

I recruited the yellow press reporter too. Now I got two propaganda machines.

The Emily Wong twitter feed was very well done. I enjoyed following it. She got a lot more time in the spotlight being on twitter than she would have if she was in game. Agreed that it would have been cool to hear audio snippets of her reporting in game. Also, even if you don't use twitter, you can still go and read them.

Because we need someone with their nipples poking through their shirt and a thong panty line.

Because Emily Wong doesn't have a huge sponsor like IGN to cut Bioware a paycheck.

And that.

It's also a business proposition.

Haha, I honestly didn't find her sexy in the game.

Her face looks like potatoe, same problem Miranda had imo. But atleast Miranda had solid voice acting, hers sound like she's stoned all the time.

I don't hate the character or anything, but I don't really find her compelling in any way.

Noit wasn't....It was  a via war of world referance the drawed us in to the game. More so with CDN(CEBERUS NEW NETWORK) how when to hell and back roleplaying as real people in the mass effect universe reaction to it. Read this.....
http://www.cerberusd...page=1#comments ...And say that again...The twitter shows a different look at the reaper invasion.
Not a bad end for her.

She went out ramming a reaper. Somehow epic despite the fact it was over twitter.
