Why did Bioware make Diana Allers when Emily Wong would make way more sense?

The same reason why IGN never mentioned about the crap endings in their review. They are on the EA payroll.

You do realize reviews are about the whole game mechanics and junk and never spoil the ending, right?

You do realize that you can say the ending is a dissapointment without giving away spoilers, right?

Because of bad decision making. Diana Allers is easily the worst character addition to the series period. At least Vega was sort of interesting and his face looks like it belongs to a human being.

I have to say I never really noticed Diana Allers' face.

I thought her face wasn't that bad, but her hair was horrible and the body shape... wow, I'm surprised she approved that.

Sheldon Cooper would disagree with you.

Why not Khalisah al-Jilani? And for thsoe that punched her she becomes a shrew berating him after every mission rubbing the loses in and you can do nothing about it not hit her or space her. It would be fitting revenge for such boorish behavior while those that never hit her get a grateful person because Shepard saved her and brought her on the Normandy.

Wait, they killed off Emily Wong on Twitter? Seriously? How lame is that compared to having her in the game either with sound clips from news reports or better still some vide footage. Talk about a weak way to sweep under the carpet something else that should have been in the game.

I personally would have preferred Emily to this Diana Allers character by far any day of the week. Allers just seems to bland and impersonal compared to even the dullest and most bland of the rest of the crew and that includes my pet robodog. Even that guy walking around on the crew deck is more interesting than her.

If I hadn’t looked up who the romance options are at the ME wiki I wouldn’t even know who this Jessica Chobot was and now knowing I’m still not impressed with the character she voiced. Why would I be? She’s nobody to me going by her acting credits at Internet Movie Database, a whole whopping 3 titles and one of them is that IGN Daily Fix.

At least with Emily Wong we would have someone who was there from the beginning of the story, that those of us who actually played all the games would know. It would be an additional link to the previous games that would have been more appealing than another “lets go for the sex appeal thing” gimmick to draw in new players.

Hell, Khalisah al-Jilani (thanks InvincibleHero for mentioning her) would have been a better choice than this Allers character, and for all the same reasons I mentioned with Emily. In ME3 she even becomes a bit likeable after you talk to her.

By the way, is Allers face an example of how the ME3 face importer doesn’t work? She kind of creeps me out when I talk to her for some reason and I’m playing on a regular tv so I can only wonder how she looks on a hi-def one.
