Is the ending a Sopranos cliff hanger masked by a dream sequence?

When my Shepard woke up, the first thing I thought is, "great another Dream sequence" because in many ways it is very similar to the boy chasing sequences, and my armor has changed completely from what I was wearing to a different style.
Basically we have a flash to black, and then a hazy dream like state as we march towards the beam. Is it all just a dream? For me it is the only thing that can explain the absolutely nonsensical ending.

Honestly this is the only explanation I can come up with.

I thought the same thing, I was like wait that is the battled damaged defualt armor.. I was not wearing that. Then the rest of the events that playe out from then seemed so out of place and unreal that I thought it was a dream sequence.. then the ending happend.. wtf moment for sure.

In regards to the Tweet that was posted about strongly urging us to hold on to our saved games and that the team has so much more in store for us leads me to believe that the post Harbinger events is in fact a dream sequence of Shepperd's fear playing it self out.

Agreed. I mean, this is the only way the end makes sense to me, but if this is what has actually happened I'd never purchase another Bioware product again and I've bought everything since Baldurs Gate 1.
It would reak of a shameless money grab even more than the absolute reak EA already has on them with their "day one DLC" money grabs.
