First off this isn't a post about 'how' the game ending. Its simply about the assets. According to the guide to get the "perfect" ending you need 5k Effective War Assets. Well I had 6k when I beat the game and I'm curious how my ending was different from others. Cause to me...we were getting our asses kicked. Hammer was only 50% strength, ships wer getting blown up left and right etc. So what are the differences between endings? If any?
So whats "Perfect" about my ending

You see Shep breathing for about..10 seconds? Oh! And only if you pick the "destroy" ending. That's..it really.

You get to "save" Anderson. That's about it.

Anderson still died in my ending, cause the Illusive Man made me shoot him. So the only difference is if I pick destroy I get to see Shepard is alive?

That Anderson thing can be archived by convincing TIM to suicide without 5k assets and having enough Paragorn points. I had like ~3k on my playthrough and got it. Will probably also work with enough Renegade points

Well, you actually had only 3k of needed 5k for "perfect" ending. You mix up total war assets with effective. There can be 5k effective war assets tops. it's the highest possible number. So if you speaking of 6k, you are speaking of the total war assets meter where you can have up to 10k.
But anyways, the only difference in the 'perfect' ending is that you see Shep breathing in Destroy, and that's all. If you want Merge or Control, it makes no difference at all.

Thats if you don't play MP. I played a bit with my friends. Total Assets was around 7k with 86% Readiness I had around 6k Effective War Assets
