Count me in the group that hates the endings. But everything has been said, so no need to rehash it here. I've never seen such a large majority all saying the same thing: best game ever up until the last 5 minutes. But anyway.....
Given the current endings, I did have some confusion that I haven't seen anyone address.
What's the paragon ending? You obviously have the "Blue" path, which looks like the good guy ending. But then, the cutscene shows the illusive man operating it, while the red path's cutscene shows Anderson. It seems only natural to me that the blue path, where all synthetics are not destroyed, is the best option for a paragon player. Self-sacrifice and what not.
And also, I don't get the Green ending at all. What is the point of, basically, assimilating into a machine, when you have the two other options? You only get this ending if you have the best readiness, but it seems like it shouldn't matter how many forces you have for this one at all.
Blue and Red essentially save the galaxy, but Green just goes off on its own tangent and drastically alters everything?
Again, I hate the endings. I feel like many: they did a huge disservice to the story with these endings. But if these are the ones I'm stuck with, will someone please help me understand them? Thanks.

The BEST ending should ahve been destoying ONLY the reapers and the geth/EDI would bring hope and chance that the cycle of chaos could be broken. HELL it wasn't even brought up at the end! You would think they woulda thrown that in our faces before sendiong us off to those horrble endings at least

see I figured sheppard never made it to the panel at all. he died and the cycle ended.
everything after that point is esentially the kid at the end of the credits complaining to the storyteller that that couldn't be how it ends. and then proceeding to imagine the weirdness of whichever option you take.

can't answer your question, I only tried the red and green.

Can't argue with that.
I guess what was kind of irking me was that the illusive man had the right idea all along? Because weighing my options, my paragon Shepard always picks control of the reapers. He can't genocide a whole race, even if they are synthetic (Geth). And I don't see the justification for the Green ending. Would a paragon Shep play god with all life? I don't think so. A renegade might, I suppose.
This is off topic, but it's my own thread, so I don't mind. I honestly believe they ran out of time. The game was delayed once, and everything up to the ending was flat out the best game I've ever played. I think that Mass Effect 2's outcomes (there were so many different endings for ME2, accounting for all of them must have been nearly impossible) doomed ME3's timeline.
What happens if Mordin dies in ME2, or Tali and Legion? Even if you had their loyalty, it was easy for them to perish in ME2 if they were left to defend the line while you fought the human reaper. Those three had such a huge impact on the storyline in ME3, and in many playthroughs they were already dead.
I think they just didn't have the time to finish it right, so they slapped together some finished cutscenes and hoped for the best. That's why we don't see our Squadmates transporting to the Normandy, why the endings don't take into account our previous decisions. I'm sticking with this belief until told otherwise, although it really doesn't make me feel any better.
