I missed having company while I had to run my ass all over the citadel. I miss the banter, and convos that would spring up with your fav shipmates while walking around there.

Agreed. And I expected a little rivalry between the love interests of ME1 and ME2, or maybe I just missed it.. :?

There are a lot of characters missing and the reunion with some people was less than adequate..

I hated how Kaidan said that Shepard cheated on him, because, when it comes to Kaidan and Ashley, the relationship in ME2 is in no way, shape or form "cheating". I consider it cheating when it comes to Liara, she may not have been recruitable in ME2, but she was there and was the one who saved our butt.

And.. No Krogan on the squad?! Why?! :pinched:

Quest Journal

Galaxy map would or would not highlight star systems for quests.

Squad AI - they don't use their best abilities per situation. Also sometimes I would have them use an ability and nothing would happen or they would use another ability.

Garrus Top of Presidium - the background behind Garrus has a bug and causes the visuals to go all wavy

(This is not about the endings, this is about the Galaxy at War system) Even though we were told you could get the best ending +5000 without the MP that is just not possible. I did a total completionist run import from ME2/1, scanned everything 100%, did every side quest, talked to everyone. My reputation was always high enough to allow me to choose the important renegade paragon options. I still couldn't even clear 3700 at 50%. That was a blatant lie.

Shepard's past was not addressed as much as it should have been. I would have liked more then a "your mom is alive" Could we have at least talked to her?

No Female Turians - been asking for them since ME1, how hard is it to just take the male Turian render and tweak it a bit

Other than the ending?

Scanner 2.0. Well, the scanning thing was vastly improved, much better than the Mako and mineral hunting. Rather, the annoying thing is instead of driving around in the Mako and mineral hunting, you end up over the course of the game with around 50(?) fetch quests. That was shallow and transparent after the second or so fetch quest, and just serves as a multiplayer surrogate to inflate your war assets. Would it have killed BW to at least have given us a choice to trade in fetch quest items for war assets or credits? or perhaps given us a choice or two or three people to turn items into, for different war assets or credits to befit a paragon or renegade Shepard?

That kid. Yeah, Earth falling was bad, we get it. Shepard's in a bad way psychologically, we get it. I don't know about you guys, but my canon Shepard wouldn't have gotten her panties in a twist over one dead kid; she knew the costs and how bad it could get, and was mentally prepared for it. How about nightmares about Anderson (her surrogate dad) being turned into a husk or being Indoctrinated and Shepard's forced to kill him? Nightmares about failing and worlds burning that sap her confidence and break her down?

They didn't have to chuck a dead kid at the gamer and say "CARE ABOUT THIS". Hell, if you had to have some establishing trauma in the early game tie it into Shepard's background -- remember the dreadnought that blew up in the prologue? If Shepard's a spacer, have that dreadnought be Shepard's mother's command. Earthborn? have some members of his/her old gang show up to help when Shepard's fighting in the streets and get brutally cut down by Reapers to cover Shep's escape. Colonist? Shep catches a glimpse of whatshername from Mindoir (if she lived) get on the shuttle that explodes.

And, a full-crew mission would have been damn sweet. Nothing even as complex as the suicide mission, just have everyone on the streets during the London sequence a la Denerim's gates in the climax of DA:O. That would have been the perfect place to do it, especially in the lead up to and during the missile bit when you're getting overrun.

*Extensive auto-dialogue.
*Characters dying no matter what you do. (not saying it should be easy. It should be possible though to have a "No One Left Behind" sort of thing, though. If you do absolutely every mission 100% correct)
*Your armor and weapons don't carry over from the previous game. (This is a minor thing, but it's a little annoying that you start with, and have to play for *so long* with just the N7 armor, and whatever weapons you pick up)
*The beginning. Who is James!?! How did him and Shepard meet? I still don't know. I've talked to him several times and there hasn't been a real explanation. He just says I read his file, and my Shepard's like "no I didn't." and that's all the explanation I get.
*The kid. In all seriousness, I want a renegade interrupt where we can shoot him, and never see him again. Cause that's how my 100% Renegade Shepard roles.

I thought it was more symbolic. I liked the kid, and seeing how worn down Shepard is getting by this point. It added a lot of humanity to it.

I just wish that there could have been a happier ending for it all.

Oh, it's completely symbolic sure, and the symbolism has a place and it fit well...but the execution was poor. Symbolism has to be tied into the story or theme, and evocative of a particular audience response. There were just a ton of ways to do that better than a random kid. Like, for example how about Shepard have nightmares involving their LI holding a baby that's implied to be Shepard's own?

I think that kid was just an image that catalyst thingy took out of Shepard's head and used it against her/him.

One thing that was weird to me was when Shepard was in terrible situations, like falling off an elevator and such, only the character forced onto the mission would help while the other, perfectly capable, tough guy would stare blankly as Tali or Liara is pulling Shepard out of a hole..

Oh and.. Yeah.. I still cannot get over the fact Shepard can carry Kaidan like he's the weight of a feather.. She did it in ME1 and does it again in ME3, very casually..

Add another one to the quest log. It was cluttered and didn't update a lot. A mess to deal with. Also didn't care for the look of the new menus, especially since it was harder to tell when they were flashing with updates. There were a few instances of texture lag ala ME1 for me (played Xbox), but they were very brief in laggging and scattered.

Those were really my only main gripes for most of the game. Everything else was great.

Edit:

Fireman's carry. It doesn't surprise me a soldier like Shepard, regardless of gender, would be strong enough and trained to do this. Makes more sense than her carrying him in her arms like maleShep does Ashley, honestly.

Despite the many improvements in the game I had several nagging complaints that was small but kept frustrating me while playing. I could not stand the journal system, especially in the fetch quest. The journal would never say if you got a certain item or not, so in order to find out you either had to go back to the quest giver to see if you already had it, or you had to scan a planet again. This really ruined the flow of the pacing in the game. I also wish there were more squad mates you
could have. I miss having the 10-12 squad mates in ME2. And lastly, I would have replaced James Vega with either Grunt, Wrex, or some other heavy hitter.

What did I dislike about the game?
1) Questlog - a pain in the arse. Especially the timing of some missions (gaining some sidequests right at the start that you can finish on thessia etc.)
2) A map? Would have been nice sometimes to get the layout of the area - if only to find that little door you missed (tunnel etc.)
3) Most of the sidequests were quite... boring. Scanning? fine. But 90% scanning to solve them just ain' fun.
4) the lot of ??? that are unanswered. I know - a few things can be DLC material. But I would have liked to get some info on how / when / why udina turned, maybe some Logs etc.
5) Why the hell is Udina on the Council when I elected Anderson - just to avoid a retard like Udina grabbin' power! *sighs*
6) The lack of Harbinger.

all the other stuff would belong to the ending so I won't list it here.

1 That time wasting body scanner between the map and conference room
2 Not being able to run in the dream sequence, just let me run so i can get it over with
3 Some of the ME2 charcters were not really involved (ie cutscenses) esp as i have had much emotional attachment after doing all their loyal quests
4 Hard to explain but ME3 universe just didnt feel as big as it did in ME1 & 2 just felt more narrow and smaller less places to explore
5 Found it very hard to see choices made in ME2 effect ME3 (apart from character deaths) ie i was hoping that if say you keep the collectors base you would get collector weapons or tech, where as if you destory the base you get none
6 What happen to you after ME2 other then you were "kept under surveillance and grounded"
7 Dont know if it was just me but when zoomed up on a weapon and you tried to follow a enemy it was very twichie which caused me to miss alot
8 No Omega mission to take it back
9 The disney rated romance scene, didnt have to go all porno on it but alittle something to see would have been nice like in ME2
10 I was kinda hoping that there was some strategy on the races you choose to alliance with you ie i chose the geth over the Quarians and the Krogan over the Salarians but during the battle on earth didnt see if my choices made any difference
11 Didnt get to do any really cool upgrades to the Normandy
12 No grenade launcher
13 EDI fake breast implants
14 The last ground battle with the launchers seem to drag on a bit longer
15 Ghost child, at least make the ghost someone that was killed during the series that meant something to you good or evil (Saren Arterius etc)
