I'm writing this to just put my mind to ease a bit because I was not at ALL satisfied with how ME3 ended. There were so many unanswered questions left in the end especially what happened with your old aquaintances such as Grunt, Jacob, etc. I decided to develop my own alternative ending just to end one of the greatest trilogy in gaming in the 21st century. This is just my opinion and you can criticize it or make it better doesn't matter. I just hope with my alternate ending, it can give people an insight on what happens after the Crucible has fired.
Also, this is long as heck but if you're a true ME fan, you will read it and give feedback on how to make it better. I just think that Mass Effect fans deserves a better ending.
**NOTE: I changed things around a bit like what happened when the Crucible fired and Normandy somehow landing on a unknown planet.
Sheperd fires the Crucible and he does what he intended to do since he first learned about the Reapers. He ultimately chooses to destroy the Reapers. **NOTE: I decided that the Crucible doesn't destroy ALL synthetic life nor the Mass Relays. The Crucible fires and destroys all the reapers within the galaxy ending the war with the Reapers civilization has fought with for the last few months. Sheperd dies when he decides to destroy the Reapers when the Crucible overloaded and caused a massive explosion destroying the Citadel and ships around the area. Shepherd saved the galaxy from the Reapers and given a hero's burial. Every race in the galaxy attended to see the burial of their savior.
Anderson died when he and Sheperd faced the Illusive Man. He was given a hero's burial along with a 21 guns salute. He was given back the Spectre status posthumorously for his courage and bravery for his rebellion on Earth against the Reapers. He was buried where he was born. London.
Admiral Hackett survived the assault on Earth. He was chosen to be a councilor and represent humanity. He accepted.
Ashley returned to Earth only to be given the devastated news that Sheperd didn't make it. **NOTE: I decided that Ashley is Sheperd's love interest. She once again lost Sheperd. She continued her military career as a Spectre and later on appointed as Admiral of the Alliance Navy due to her service record. She lived her life single and stayed faithful to Shepherd. She died eventually of natural causes and was buried right next to Sheperd's grave.
EDI lived the rest of her life with Joker and progressviely learned more about human behavior and emotions. She eventually told Joker how she felt about him and told him she loved him.
Joker still piloted the Normandy and dated EDI until his death from Vrolic Syndrome. He was considered the best pilot in human history for his extraordinary flying skills.
Garrus returned to Palaven with the remainder of the Turian Fleet, he helped rebuild their civilization and was eventually promoted to General for his combat experience against the Reapers. He still remained the best shot in the Galaxy. He was upset about the loss of his best friend Sheperd but he never forgot that Sheperd was in heaven watching his back. He still retained the nickname Arch Angel for being a hero for the Turian race.
Dr. Chakwas retired from the medical field. She felt she had seen enough in her lifetime. After the victory against the Reapers, she never forgot that promise she made with Sheperd and took out the Ice Brandy and toasted it to Sheperd.
Grunt never backed down in the fight against the Reapers. No matter what the situation was, he set the example to his fellow Krogans that he would never back down from a fight. Grunt returned to Tuchanka and was Wrex's right hand man. He proved Krogans all around that even though he was tank-born, he was still a true Krogan. No one dared to disagree.
**NOTE: I used Liara as a squad member and she was with me rushing to the beam in the final fight, the game really didn't say if she died or not so I changed this also. Liara was heavily wounded when she was attacked by that Reaper but she lived. She was also devastated to learn about Sheperd's death. She lived a fullfilling life and wrote a book about the Protheans like she always wanted. She continued to live her life as the Shadow Broker and everyone continued to fear the power she held. She fell in love with Feron (ME2, Shadow Broker DLC), and she never forgot how Sheperd helped her get to where she is now.
**NOTE: I also used Javik for the final assault. Javik (Prothean, From Ashes DLC), survived the attack and returned back to the location of where he had to kill his former squad. He did what he promised himself and laid his squad member's to rest and he ultimately joined them.
Samara survived the attack and returned to her daughter Falere and helps her rebuild the Ardat-Yakshi's monastery. She lived her life as a Justicar and protected the peace. She did what she promised her daughter and visited her more often.
James Vega continued to do the N7 training he was selected for and passed. His key motivation was his talk he had with Sheperd about joining N7. Eventually in his career, he got to command a ship of his own just like he wanted to.
The Rachni successfully defeating the Reapers did what they promised Sheperd when he first encountered them on Noveria. They retreated back in dark space and were never seen again.
Tali returned with the Quarian fleet and returned home to Rannoch. She helped rebuild their civilization and she successfully learned how to grow crops. She was promoted to Admirial regardless of her young age. Within a year, Rannoch was fully rebuilt with the help of the Geth. The Alliance still stands strong. The Quarians were able to take off the suits they've worn for the past 350 years when they're home was finished.
Jacob continued to fight for the people. He protected them from any dangers they face. We was eventually appointed as an officer in the Alliance Navy and commanded his own ship.
Wrex returned home and was still the Clan leader of Clan Urdnot. He recieved his first child and like he promised, he named the baby Mordin. His clan idolized Sheperd and like the rest of the Krogan race, they will sing songs about Sheperd until the end of time. Eve became the first ever Krogan councilor in history and represented the Krogan race on the council.
Captain Kirrahe fought to the death. He motivated his troops to hold the line until the Crucible fired and destroyed the Reapers. The force of the Reapers were too overwhelming but Kirrahe's forces delayed the Reapers. Kirrahe was commended for his actions and was promoted posthumorously.
Diana Tallers still recorded footage for his show and her show became one of the most influential and most watched show in the galaxy. She thanked Sheperd for helping her achieve this goal.
Jack was proud of her student that had survived the war. She returned to Grissom Academy to teach future students. She often told stories about her life and adventures she had with Sheperd. She thanked Sheperd for helping her come who she is now.
Kasumi continued to steal all around the galaxy after the war. She still held on to Keiji's Greybox.
Zaeed survived the war and decided it was time to settle down. He retired from being a bounty hunter.
This is all I can think of right now. I hope you guys can give feedback or whatever. It's my own ending to what I think one of the greatest trilogy in gaming. Just that I hated the ending to the final game. There should have been an epilogue to what happened to everyone.

I don't agree on some of the areas of your ending, but seriously though, the depth at which you describe the ending and said decisions playing out is what the finale essentially lacked. The fact that this degree of description was not put into the ending is simply insulting to fans like us. Simply based upon as to how almost random the original ending appears, and how you as the player should have been able to see your many decisions play out by this time, especially following such an epic trilogy. On a personal a note, it should end with a final boss, quite possibly harbinger, as to cap the level of epicness in the final battle, rather than simply having it ripped away and replaced by a slew of mediocre moments that simply destroy the true potential in an ending like this. All and all, to be put simply, as a message to whoever had the call on this issue, let me simply ask, what were you thinking?
