See I have a disability that makes it hard for me to use a keyboard for long periods of time. It is easier for me to use a controller when my hand goes to hurting. Which does not take long when I start playing on a keyboard. Don't get me wrong I love keyboard and mouse it is just very hard for me to use it. I was shot in my left had a long time ago and it causes me all kinds of problems. It would be very nice if you could add this support. Thank you for your time. Please bump this if you have the same problem.
Controller support please.

I don't have this problem, but I feel for you and will bump it. They should have added controller support, as there is a PS3 and Xbox360 versions out which use controllers.

I'm in the same boat, due to severe wrist damage I can not use the M/KB config. After purchasing I learned about the lack of support when setting up in the options menu. I contacted EA about this and they sent me a broken web link. I'm guessing this is as far as we are going to get on this.

After getting nowhere with this I decided to get a refund from EA. It took a lot of emails and I got a lot of canned responses but someone finally got the picture. I had to make it clear that sending me a link to the forums would not magically make my wrist mobile, nor would it magically make the devs decide to add support. We can see how asking for support is like shouting at a wall, only the wall has a better chance of responding.
Games should be made for ALL gamers, even those of us who are disabled. I will keep bumping this topic until we get a proper response, but I'm holding my money until this game is made accessible to us.
Devs need to remember, not everyone has full functionality, therefore we need fully functional games.

It's odd that in a CONSOLE PORT they didn't include controller support for the pc.

Bioware dont add controller support to Mass Effect or Dragon Age (despite the relitively simple job of transferring the 360 UI) because its how they convinece themselves that they havent done a port.... you have, at least give us those few advantages a port brings!!
Thats my opinion on it anyway.

My refund processed yesterday and I deleted origin. If they do decide to think of those who need controller support and add it I will gladly re-purchase. I have seen in other threads players are saying to use xpadder or pinnacle, to me these are not viable options since they are not part of the native UI. I even tried both of them and had issues with pinnacle closing at the start of the game, and xpadder was equally useless .
Third party purchases of software in order to get this game working are really not a solution, yet, this is no doubt going to be the response if we do get one.
The other problem we face now is all of the players that petitioned for a new ending. It looks like their getting their way, and with the devs busy fixing it they will leave this issue by the wayside.
I did find it funny that the company was upset over the outpouring of angry fans, asking us to be constructive and not insulting, when players like myself are being insulted and ignored by the company for being handicapped... I guess gimp money isn't as green as the rest.

So customer support told me again today the devs are always looking over the forums, are there even any bothering to read this? There has been no response from any devs so far so I guess we can call it like it is, they don't care at all.
I wonder if they will reconsider since The Consumerist awarded EA the worst company in America 2012.... probably not. Not unless they can add it in as DLC and charge us for a UI the consoles got at launch. (I'll probably get banned for mentioning that)
Either way, I would love to at least hear something from the devs, even if they just say it's never going to happen.

Maybe they thought that if people are more comfortable with controllers they are probably playing video games mainly on consoles instead of PCs.
