I have to admit, at first I was a little disappointed.
But then I got to thinking...
This series is all about choices. If there was a "perfect" ending of all good consequences would not everyone have taken that route, and eliminated the other choices in essence?
This game more than the others showed consequences to your choices...Saving Mordin at the expense of the genophage, or the greater good? It seemed in this game every choice came with a real trade-off, a price to be paid. That made them more difficult, personal, and better reflected the weight on Shepard's shoulders.
My take on the endings

What disappoints me the most is the great recycling they did with the endings. Don't get me wrong, I got the ending where you do live and all. But the one where you die? How does that even make sense?
