I have tried a forum fix that actually works from forum member "Emphyr"
http://social.biowar...77326/1#9812037
This is what i did to get it working.
"Finally i tried the internet settings that go in Win7 and put all off them on inactive ore lowest and put on accept all cookies. Turned off UAC disabled the firewall and Virusscanner.. again and BINGO the DLC is activated."
I did everything in the quoted sentence except accepting cookies. And it works! many thanks!
I Also reverted the changes back, and the dlc is now working.
Regards Alex
Apperently the problem seems to be Windows security related as Emphyr suggested, i am running the following
Win 7 Home Premium 64
With Mozilla Firefox as a browser (Notice) The changes i did on the internet security was done in Internet Explorer.
Antivirus: Microsoft Security Essentials.
Do the following:
1. Turn of Real time protection
2. Press start
3. Search following "Internet Options"
4. Press Security tab
5. The following 4 options (Internet, Local Internet and Trusted Sites) Turn down the security dial dial to the lowest. Apply, press ok and exit.
6. Start the game.
The problem my teory: When the DLC wants to connect the game when i play it has actually not not yet connected to EA servers, the the now infamous square pops up cant bla bla. After that the game signs into your EA account.
And their is no button to try to reconnect the DLC again.
After i did the abow steps, my game signs into EA account before trying to connect the DLC and the infamous square of bla bla did not appear.
Started the game and i got that email to Sheppards computer
I wont bet this will work for everybody 100% but its worth a try as it takes 2min to try.
If it works say thanks to Emphyr.
