How do i access my dlc, and i am connected to the internet and get that message every time i start the game.

"please log in to the alliance network with the account used to purchase the dlc  from ashes"

Picture from the forum:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have tried a forum fix that actually works from forum member "Emphyr"

http://social.biowar...77326/1#9812037

This is what i did to get it working.

"Finally i tried the internet settings that go in Win7 and put all off them on inactive ore lowest and put on accept all cookies. Turned off UAC disabled the firewall and Virusscanner.. again and BINGO the DLC is activated."

I did everything in the quoted sentence except accepting cookies. And it works! many thanks!
I Also reverted the changes back, and the dlc is now working.

Regards Alex

Apperently the problem seems to be Windows security related as Emphyr suggested, i am running the following

Win 7 Home Premium 64
With Mozilla Firefox as a browser (Notice) The changes i did on the internet security was done in Internet Explorer.
Antivirus: Microsoft Security Essentials.

Do the following:

1. Turn of Real time protection
2. Press start
3. Search following "Internet Options"
4. Press Security tab
5. The following 4 options (Internet, Local Internet and Trusted Sites) Turn down the security dial dial to the lowest. Apply, press ok and exit.
6. Start the game.

The problem my teory: When the DLC wants to connect the game when i play it has actually not not yet connected to EA servers, the the now infamous square pops up cant bla bla. After that the game signs into your EA account.
And their is no button to try to reconnect the DLC again.
After i did the abow steps, my game signs into EA account before trying to connect the DLC and the infamous square of bla bla did not appear.

Started the game and i got that email to Sheppards computer

I wont bet this will work for everybody 100% but its worth a try as it takes 2min to try.

If it works say thanks to Emphyr.

I'm having the same problem, except its telling me EA's servers are down. The servers should not determine whether or not I can load my SINGLEPLAYER SAVES.

Well if they don´t fix the problem, i am sure gonna ask for a refund from Origin i didn´t give away my money for fun because i like Origin so much or Bioware now.

-------------------------------------------------------

Uppdate!

I Spoke with EA Origin Support, they gave me a new key to the DLC.

But the problem persists, so basicly its an Bioware / Origin issue with the accounts.

When the game promotes you to log into the Alliance Network, you do so automaticly with Origin.

But the point is "Dont buy the DLC again, it wont solve the matter."

Regards Alex

Exactly!
Until they fix this problem i am going to ask for a refund, as the Origin customer service did actually disable the first DLC i bought, and the second he gave me has the same problem. Therefor i dont see a problem to get a refund on this matter.

I am having the same issue. It is beyond absurd that you shell out $73 for a game and you cannot even play it due to some damned EA server issue. When you try and speak with anyone about it, they are completely hopeless and give you canned answers. I am old enough to remember the days when you could just play a game you bought directly on your PC without having to log in to some damned sever like orgin, EA or Steam just to play a game you already bought. This service should be OPTIONAL. To make it manditory and to have your single play game playing depend on the whim of some server is disgusting, and a disgusting trend for gaming.

I Agree even though it was a windows 7 problem for me, it still a flawed system they have chosen to utilize.
Their should be no connection to Alliance Network, if you have the game on Origin it should take no more. I´am no fan of systems like Steam and Origin to much control on the customers only give troubles to the ones who buy the game as we did.

I believe that actions like these with closed systems will only increase the piracy, because in the end, we who bought the product get problems, folks that downloaded it get none so clearly something is seriously wrong now.
