Now to the point: Bioware was developing this game for years and now that I look at it after around 10hrs of playing I'm a bit disappointed. Of course it's a great game, but from my point of view it looks like an unpolished diamond.
Why, you ask?
1) There's that face-import problem we all know about. It's being worked on, so I'm fine for now.
2) The lip-syncing is awful compared to what we've seen before in ME2 and also ME1. Some of you already noticed this, I've seen at least one thread about it. It's not gamebreaking, but seriously, how could you neglect this so hard?
3) Clipping. Seriously, I could scream every time I see a character model magically switching from one position to another within camera shots and people grabbing literally into objects. I can accept hands-through-weapons in combat because of the variety of weapons, but why is my femshep reaching into EDI when she's trying to pat her on the back? - I presume these should be established models? And just recently I watched a "phone" conversation between Aria and Shepard when Shepard's hand moved magically after each sentence - into her head, onto her ear, back into the head and so on. Sadly I cannot provide any proof here, I was just too stunned to take a screenshot or start video recording.
So, like I stated in the topic these are basically minor issues, but still I want them to be mentioned amongst all the others. Looks like Bioware was in a real hurry to get the game out, but at what cost? Mass Effect 3 should have taken at least a month more time get into shape.
I'm still playing it and I won't stop until I've played a few times through it and I love my CE and so on (the N7 hoodie is just awesome, and it looks way better than the real one in the store) but this really leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
To get to an end... I would really appreciate it if some developers read this and could look into it. I won't mind if it takes a few weeks or even months, but in the end I'd like to play ME3 without the above mentioned taste and enjoy it as much as I did Mass Effect 2.
Sincerely,
ChaosD
