Which ending would a paragon Shepard choose?

Synthesis is an outright betrayal in its most basic form. Anything that destroys the mass relays is a no-go because of the energy release.
IMHO the paragon move would be to put a bullet in your head rather than choose any of the options given.
All of this assume that this wasn't some wild hallucination / indoctrination / etc.

I had similar issues, but judging on the choices a Paragon Shepard made up to this point in the series all of the solutions are terrible. I went with Control because it doesn't change the races (like Synthesis) and doesn't lead into the same cycle (like destroying the Reapers)... The ending still isn't staisfactory, but it's probably the best option for a Paragon.

The galaxy looked at the Reapers as vile abominations that had destroyed their entire way of life....Colonies bombed themselves just so they wouldnt be absorbed into the Reaper ranks, people shot themselves, killed others, fought loved ones, ect. So if I am evil for following through with the plan, and keeping my Shepard alive through it all then fine.My Paragon Shepard did ONE renegade move then I guess...but gawd damn it I promised Liara little blue babies and I sure as hell cant give them to her If I am dead now can I?lol

To me "Paragon" means the guy who will try to minimize collateral damage, even if he has to make personal sacrifices to do so. Renegade is the guy who will achieve his objective no matter what stands in his way.
In light of that, I chose "Control" on my paragon game. Save the Citadel, save the geth... personal survival: not a factor. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.
Renegade: you bet I'll blow up that pipe.

May I point out that renegade has never meant "evil". Garrus in ME2 is being held as an archetypal renegade. The ex-cop who's had enough with procedure and takes justice into his own hands. Does that make him evil? Hell, no! He is Garrus Vakarian and above such concerns.

"And now GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR GALAXY!"
Barring that option, none of the presented colour-coded choices is really paragon.
Synthesis basically has you doing the Reapers' work for them, transforming all sentient life against their will into some static "final step of evolution" (*groan*). Mordin explained quite extensively why that'd be such a disastrous idea in ME2, and besides, it's *exactly* what Saren wanted in ME1.
Control is basically doing the very thing the Illusive Man aimed for all along - something that you pointed out as disastrous mere minutes prior, to the point where you talked the IM into a heroic suicide.
Basically, both Control and Synthesis are the very antithesis of everything Shepard has done, thought, and believed throughout the previous two installments, and there is nothing to justify this sudden change of heart.
Alas, the third option isn't that much better, because it supposedly includes a full-scale genocide that will kill a whole race of allies (for the big picture), rendering Legion's sacrifice meaningless, and killing a good friend of yours (for the small picture).
Basically, it's like this:
On Mount Doom, Frodo pulls on the ring, and he's suddenly confronted by a spirit-being that declares that it's been at home in the One Ring the whole time, controlling Sauron and everybody else because [insert convoluted reason that's supposed to be "deep" here]. Then he shows you three doors at the edge of the cave that brought you to the chasm, and proclaims that you can choose any of them to bring the story to a conclusion.
If you hack at the red door to the right, all orcs, wraiths and evil creatures will miraculously drop dead on the spot - and so will all the dwarves. Also, your descendants will supposedly one day breed new orcs.
If you walk through the blue door on the left, you will control the ring, and can now tell the evil forces to retreat to Mordor and never leave those borders again. You'll also die horribly in the fires of mount doom.
If you go through the green door in the middle, plunging into the flaming depths, the ring will use your ebbing life-energy to transform everyone into a half-orc, whether they want it or not.
And yes, I really feel that the ending we got was just as incompatible with the rest of the ME-universe as this scenario is with the rest of LotR.
