Id like so see more choice over who the hero is, who we are going to control.
A dragon age origins style race selection. You choose your race, each race has presets kinda like skyrim and you can customise them. You then choose your class and your backstory kinda like in origins when you choose human noble etc...
Peace choices will effect the dialogue from certain members of the universe. Krogan work harder to secure a turian squad mate etc...turian npcs talking bad about a Krogan behind there back.
Each race and backstory will have its own starting point, this will serve as an introduction mission. You will then eventually end up in the same place no matter what race you are. Maybe summoned by the council.
I would like the game to be based around the rebuilding of the mass effect universe. I would also like to see more inner city missions. Maybe walking through streets of new York, hong kong etc. This will add more variety to the missions.
I'd like one squad member from each race to be available. Now if you are a human, maybe the human squad member finds a reason not join and same if your a turian, the turian squad member won't join. This is just an idea but I think it would add a lot of replayability. Also maybe only being able to recruit a gotcha mercenary for example, of you chose the mercenary route yourself or have enough renegade points. This again could add replayability.
Races such as geth arent playable but have a squad mate that can join your squad. I think the idea around squadmates as the chance of you building relationships with the character. One person might not like using Morgan but loves using geth in there squad. So the ability to choose from all the different races is a must for me. Also the idea that certain requirements need to be met to be able to recruit certain squad members stays within the whole renegade/paragon thing that mass effect fans know and love.
Playable races and recommended backstorys:
Drell
Human, alliance recruit, ex-cerberus, mercenary.
Turian
Batarian, mercenary
Asari
Quarian
Krogan
Vorcha, mercenary
