So I am not sure if this is the right part of the forum to post this in but I was wondering is there a trial at all in this game? Thought a few times bioware people said that there would be but the only times the game mentions it the screen fades to black and nothing.

Nope, it was cut from the game so it didn't confuse new players. Good to see the thousands of new players the game brought in, oh wait.....

Originally Shepard was supposed to be on Trial for the Relay kaboom incident. And Cerberus was meant to break him out IIRC.
That got cut, even though i was looking forward to it. I can see how it'd be hard to implement, though.

Ohhh, that's right. I was under the impression that he/she was being detained before the trial, but that the Reapers attacked before they could actually hold it.

Well that blows. If they wanted new players to not be lost why not just make it so the trial would recap all the major stuff from the first 2 games. They should of done it when Diana Allers asked you a question about it and had it turn into a flashback.
