I definitely think there's a reason the Reapers want to control Shepard instead of just killing him.  Not sure why.  I agree with those that say 'why not just kill him' but I believe there's a deeper reason.  By controlling, perhaps, that would give them better odds because if you kill him after he movitivated the entire galaxy to fight it might strengthen the enemies resolve.  Speculations...

What if they had a plan to make sure everybody either gets the DLC or they already have it?  It's a long shot, but I'm preferring to just wait and see what their plan is and then praise/bash it.  There have been twitter posts already about BioWare doing whatever is necessary to get the DLC so...let's just see.

The Big Harvest sometimes seems to have taken centuries until completion, and the Protheans resisted fierclly almost to the bitter end, and then even came up with a plan to destroy/thwart the next cycle with the conduit and sabotage of the citadel.

Threfore an indoctrinated "hero" of the galaxy would be an incredible...catalyst?...to accelerate the Harvest...

Yep. Plus, the Codex entries talk about sleeper agents and the like. The entire Alliance (+geth, batarians etc.) has ammassed pretty much due to Shepard's influence; imagine how the reapers could use that influence to turn the tide in their favour.

It's already been shown that with pluck and determination the less advanced Alliance races can take out several reapers in open battle, as well as a great deal of their ground troops. Clearly the reapers want to minimalise their losses and complete the cycle of destruction as quickly as possible. They could gut the Alliance's entire command structure by using an indoctrinated Shepard, either by having him kill the people or in charge or lead entire armies into reaper traps.

Fantastic video, really sums up why Indoctrination is so likely, why we beleive in it.

The Star Child also seems to be surrounded by some form of electromagnetic activity. Plus, notice the EM field when Shep picks the Control/blue option.

Someone found the source picture it had been photoshopped from. Basicly its a picture with Liara that was reversed and the background and text added, nothing more.
