I watched numerous videos of the beam charge sequence looking for those exact textures and never spotted them. Even in the deleted scene where liara and garrus are getting reamed by the beam it doesn't have those textures either and its very close to where shep "wakes" up.

Nothing noteworthy as I recall.  Synthesis is just a beam, and that's how it was referred to (again, if I remember correctly).  My personal theory is that the reason control got its own very telling name is because it was a unique model.  The others were used for other things at other points.  They don't generally re-name an old model for a new use.  For instance all the capital ship reapers are still marked internally as "sovereign".

Don't know if this was disscussed yet but has anyone brought up the fact that Joker said the normandy was going to get back in the fight and rejoin the Sword fleet combating the reapers above earth after he drops you off?

Following that statement basic logic would then mean the normandy wouldnt have been in the middle of a mass relay jump in stead it would have been above earth fireing it's thanix cannon.

I think what was discussed and declared fake was a supposed screenshot of the (star)child with an internal name of "Harbringer," which is indeed fake. I've looked in umodel and found this correct.

yep, absolutly right and because of this and all the other facts, it is just a halucination

BTW I played my paragon Shep yesterday and after you recruted Garrus and talk to him, Shep tells Garrus about the boy. He/She saw him dying and he/she can't forget him. (quit a sad moment though)
Ofc this doesn't mean to much, but I try to collect as much information, which could give us evidence about IDT or not.

But to me it always was pretty clear that control was the most retarded choice ever... so yeah makes sense it would be the "bad" one

You're not alone. I chose control, too - yet, mainly for the reason that I didn't listen to star brat because I was so annoyed by the end ... and well, it was blue ... what could possibly go wrong when you choose a blue option

(reloaded the autosave right thereafter and blasted things up, though)

I'm an indoc fan, and as I was trying to explain something in another post I had to stop and immediately come here to share it...

THE DESTRUCTION OF THE MASS RELAYS EXPLAINED

Ok first of all, remember that the mass relays are reaper tech, and if this is all going on in Shep's head, then what did the series of explosions also look like? Synapses? It is like the brain is purging itself of all reaper tech/knowledge. Look at the final "explosions" again and tell me what you see -- notice it is not the same "circuitry" as on the galaxy map, the explosions aren't linked the way they're linked when doing mass relay jumps.

I submit that this was another atttept to convey a metaphor to the audience (like with the gun being a representation of Shep's resolve), that Shep had purged his mind of reaper indoctrination.
