Was the ending a hallucination? - Indoctrination Theory

As if there was something like the Crucible on the Citadel before.
Prior the ending, I thought, the Crucible may be the last message from the race that created the Reapers.
Passed on to the coming races.
The part of the Citadel, that had been the killswitch for their AI-creations.
Remember, how the death of the Saren-husk had enough impact on Sovereign, as that it could be destroyed? It was a simple signal-loss or signal-overload.
And the Saren-husk didn't blew up half the Citadel in the process.
Then the Reapers attacked Sanctuary, so no one researched their signals anymore.
I would have thought, the Crucibles sphere would pulse out a simple signal by pressing a button and the Reapers would shut down.

No, it's legit, for whatever my word is worth. I was the one who found it originally.
It is indeed one of the "control" handles. The original post of it, linked above, shows a comparison.
And yeah, some IT opponents used the logic of "of course it's the bad one, TIM took it". Which struck me as a cop out of epic proportions since if you don't believe in IT then supposed there is no good ending or bad ending, but I suppose I'm biased.
Download UE Viwer. Instructions for usage on the link provided. In Windows 7 the default directory for ME3's data files is C:Program Files (x86)Origin GamesMass Effect 3BIOGameCookedPCConsole. The file to load is BioA_End002_Space.pcc. Just keep hitting Page Up or Page Down til you get to the right model. Tons of crap in the file so might take a minute to find.
Thx for this clarification! I'll try it as soon as I get home.
It's a major hint, I'm surprised the information has not been spread much.
What does this mean? Where exactly is that control "console" because it's certainly not on the citadel.
It's the device used by Shepard if he chooses 'Control'. Look at Rifneno original post, there are screenshots.

Yeah that control choice I see. But is that another device or the exact one on the citadel. Because it certainly doesn't look like it's located on the citadel.

I guess you never picked the Control ending, because then you'd know that this is definately on the Citadel.

In Sociology, "Schmelztiegel" concept means you force individual cultures to form a new better united nation. Sounds like the ultimate Reaper indoctrination trap to me as a German. I would be interested what the name of the concept would be in english. If it is crucible, I gonna fall over.

I still think that's an extremely ugly translation.
Also, "Crucible" has the interesting meaning of a "very hard test". Why would you call it that if not on purpose.

In which context does crucible means very hard test? I googled crucible 100x now and got a hell lot of stupid results, but never read something like very hard test?

The term commonly used in English is "melting pot", which is a crucible. It means the integration and fusion of many different cultures, typically through immigration, to form a new society. It is usually not described as being "forced" on people.

Looked back 10 pages, didn't see any mention of this.
Looking up ME3 news.. a page indicating that there were clues to this game's ending in ME1 had me worried. I absolutely cannot live with this ending to be quite honest so anything that suggests that it will stick sends me into a panic. Anyway this is the link that made me feel better about it, which also points to the so called evidence in ME1

Yeah nice find there. But why would a "being of light" (indeed if we're talking about the catalyst kid) want to protect us from "synthetic machine devils" when we all know (of course I think it's bs) that the catalyst kid is the so-called reaper leader.
so wait- the reaper leader/creator of the reapers is sending messages to a volus billionaire to start mining on a useless planet so that the so-called being of light can protect him from the "machine devils" he created. Circular logic yet again.
A volus looking for a reaper artifact... No circular logic there.
The volus in question is apparently a major character in the books and found and spent time in Soverign, the being of light being a sign of a possible indoctrination attempt rather than a species from a previous cycle

The key points are the same so. mhhh still sounds like Reaperfication to me ^^
I think the term " forced" was in the article, because normally individuals are not that willing to fusion with other cultures. But it looks like the translation would work though.
Interesting
