It looks like the same type of trees and bushes to me.  I still believe in the IT but at least for me the "dream trees" appearing after being hit evidence is inconclusive.

I've always thought that using "the trees" as *AHEM* "Evidence" was a flimsy case. I don't even acknowledge it as a potential indicator.

Agreed. And the "infinite ammo/magic gun = Shep's will" indicator.

Actually yes, sorry if this was posted lost a lot of posts in this thread lately,it goes really fast but I can also provide a twitter to a fan reply confirming they are working on content http://www.nydailyne...ticle-1.1048196

I'm so tired of headlines getting it wrong. They've never technically said they were "changing the ending".

LOL, we should totally adopt a BioWare policy for people who come in here only to bash the IT.

6-7 days until Bioware's announcement. -excited-

I don't know whether to get my hopes up or not.

"We at bioware would like to announce new DLC-"
*Fans cheer*
"Yes, new DLC for multiplayer-"
*Fans boo*
"And also new ending DLC-"
*Fans cheer*
"Which adds yellow, orange and purple endings"

... there's no BioWare left to save.

To the contrary, I think they said they will not change it and only work on additional content giving more closure. Which would, given its true, match well with IT, because it's not necessary to change anything - you just put things into a larger context and -bling- everything makes a lot more sense.

This theory has so many holes in it is laughable. No offence, but you would have to be a fairly bad writer, with no concept of game mechanics and story arch for this to even remotely make sense. Not saying the ending was perfect, but this is like papering over the Battlestar Galactica references with gimmicks from Eternal Sunshine of a spotless mind and Inception.

Thank you for your feedback! What parts of the Indoctrination theory did you like? :)

Thanks for making me laugh :D

Oh that was good.  Same as Nyrocron, thanks for the laughs.

Sorry, have to shut you down there. IT is not the truth.
What it is is an interpretation of the facts, you know like the Diane Selwyn (was that her name) theory of Mulholland Drive. It works well with the given data but it is not "truth" because it has not been confirmed as such by Word of God.
I'm not saying i don't support IT, just that you can't go around calling it "truth" when it isn't.

Yeah, like Jack said, "Shepard, everybody knows you can't dance."

Don't know if this was mentioned before and if there's anything to it but...
when Shepard discovers the prothean beacon on Thessia you can hear a sound similar to those at the ending when TIM controls Shep.

at around 00:56
Shepards hand movement is a little odd too.

edit: spelling

And it's not just Jack, it's damn near everybody (exaggeration intended for humorous effect). There's Joker and Garrus as well for starters, but I can't remember everyone else.

He was saying: "given it (the statement that they aren't changing the endings, just elaborate) is true". Not IT

Grats this thread has me completely entranced. I figured that Shepard was indoctrinated since Arrival and that's why she sees the child/catalyst from the beginning of ME3. But I hadn't thought that the entire ending could be a dream, I just thought Shepard could sense the catalyst the whole time as it is the source of indoctrination and not the Reapers.

But the theory that the ending was the final indoctrination push is a really good one. I picked synthesis for my first playthrough because I didn't want to kill the Geth... lol Got me. :P Next time I'm destroying that sucker.

I just realized something after having played the ending through again.

when Shepard gets hit by Harbinger's beam, s/he is still pretty far away from the beam itself. Not just by a small margin, but by a quite large one actually.
However, when Shepard wakes up, s/he's pretty much right in front of the beam that takes him/her to the citadel, which I find quite weird.

Any thoughts?
