thanks, i guess. but you dont know how right you are about the lucky part, because it was a gift, like nearly everything else i own. with that being said. i have no idea how good my graphics card is. so i dont know. is it way better than yours or just the next model?
really? i really dont remember, so i guess i have to take your word for it. actually if i see inconsistencies in level design i dont make too much of it. see im quite old, so im used to games having a door in one level and a rock blocking it in the next to stop you from trying to go back.

he has a gtx 570 i have 3 gtx 275's
isn't a gtx 570 one of the top cards on the market?

The Problem with IT is, it pretty much bends everything to fit its needs. There's a lack of a satisfying ending, so people go around and search for one because they don't want to settle for what they actually got.
I could make arguments about the entire sequence with the destruction of the ME Relays, and what they're there for if Shepards Decision pretty much already sealed the deal either way. And no matter what you choose, you destroy the reapers. If you destroy the reapers and thus "free yourself from their influence" why are they still creating an illusion, how come you still get that illusion?
But the point is, what we're arguing about is a force that alters perception and reality, and in that regard, *anything* can be utilized to confirm the theory, because you're trying to argue for its existence and prove it, instead of examining it.
Someone came up with it, lots of people decided to cling to it for various reasons (for example because it resonates better than the real ending) and now you have they same flawed and misdirected logical process that religions suffer from it. You don't step back and say: unlimited ammunition - game design decision to ensure that the player can win the scenes with higher probability - or take the dreams for what they are more likely - simply shepards conscience and stress - but instead you immediately accept it as supporting evidence for the theory. If you would actually take all these arguments for IT, look for a second possibility of why it is so, and then remove everything that may well be something else - then you end up with no positive argument.
So as long as people stick to bending it to the theory, because the theorie's nature allows to bend the arguments in its favor, you will only find confirmation if what you seek is confirmation.
Other viable alternatives:
Shepard completely overdid it and everything from the moment he awakes is actually a drug induced dream.
Shepard simply survived a drink that killed countless other people before him? Unrealistic. From that point on, he is trapped in a coma state, and his dying mind attempts to make sense of the world. The end of mass effect 3 is his decision to die, to let go, and the idea of world that he managed to save is his way of allowing himself to let go.
Shepard never actually awoke from his contact with the beacon. Everything afterwards is but a vision of what may come and in the DLC we will awake on Eden Prime and realize that we have to find another way, that we have to alter fate.
And so on, and so forth. As long as you're willing to base a theory on something that *alters* perception, you end up with something that can easily be confirmed by virtually anything. That hum James was hearing? Those were actually the medical machines keeping shepard alive. And Shepard knows that he will never wake up, and is stranded in his own world of illusions, so he searches and struggles for a way to allow himself to finally die. See? Very easy to bend everything to such a theory.
not to start a war again. but does it really matter how good ones graphic card is?
since all the games are console ports anyways, they have to run on hardware which is more than 5 years old. 7, if we are talking about the xbox360. so i dont think any card should have problems with the current games.

Yes but my card is not very slow.
my pc has a gts 450 (decent.. still low end though) it's sad though because the power supply has gone a little funky

The top card currently available is the AMD Radeon 7970. Next tier in terms of single core GPUs would be the Nvidia GeForce 580, then below that would be the 570. At least, that is a watered down version.

not really.. but i disagree. Skyrim requires a top card to play on full settings.. and so does crysis 2.. graphically they put consoles to shame.
Though honestly the only console game that is graphically top-notch compared to pc is uncharted 3

Not Battlefield 3!!! And we are seeing an increasing shift back towards the PC.
yes? i kill you! i f.ing hate it. mass effect 3 for example. no weapon buttons, no holster weapon, one button for cover/run/use/mastubate. i cant even switch my powers to the buttons in multiplayer, which means for every class i play i have to change my controls. well, i guess thats what i get for supporting nintendo back in the day, when they wanted games to have simpler control schemes.

I agree about the shift. Last generation where PC's were slowly dieing, this generation it seems to be consoles.
I for one am a console guy.. though in the past 5-7 years I was all PC.. I just can't afford to upgrade all the time in order to play games.. a console is just a better investment IMO because it lasts anywhere from 5-10 years.. where as a fully upgraded pc will last 2-3 tops.

And yet, it still lacks anisotropic texture filtering and can only run at a maximum resolution of 1280 x 720. Additionally, it is locked, or close to it, anyway, at 30 frames per second while a high end PC can reach 60 FPS in ANYTHING if you have the right tech while STILL running at higher resolutions. PC gaming FTW!
thats because everyones favorit coder said so. (about the trend to go back to the pc)
also if you need a good card to play a console game, it either means they really out did themselves or they didnt do much at all. unfortunately its often the ladder.

So is my GTX 275 garbage?
Well, it works for you, and in some ways the quality of your card is very much dependent on what YOU are comfortable playing at for resolutions, settings, frame rates, etc. in addition to what kinds of games you like to play.
