Do you guys think that Sheps choices in the dream effected the real world?

As mentioned before, it's strange that the Normandy crash landing is affected as EDI is not there after the Destroy ending (though Joker does NOT seem unhappy about it at all, which is sort of strange to me personally), but the Destroy ending with the highest score is also the one in which you survive and breath under the rocks.
That would imply that in all others, your consciousness is actually consumed, while if you Destroy the Reapers, you'll actually stay alive and wake up from your indoctrination trip.

So as you do destroy the reapers if you pick the Destroy option, it's highly possible that it's not all just symbolic, yes. Unless you picking the Destroy option would not actually create this explosion of Relays, but only make Harbinger succumb to your will and thus crashing as he could not control you.

Wow, I'm making up weird stuff.

The point is that you stay alive and the reapers die if you have 5000+ readiness and choose Destroy.

the thing that has me the most excited about the indoctrination theory being true is not just all the facts that seem to support it, but that everyone who is arguing against it doesn't seem to have anything concrete to shoot it down.

Like others, this hallucination theory gives me some hope. Thank you. :D

Ya, same here.  Even if it DOES lead to a proper DLC climax/ending/epilogue that should've been there all along, it will be a pretty cool idea - the whole indoctrination attempt by Harbinger.

You know... the kid not being real fits with choosing Shepards psych profile in the very begining.

The pieces are falling together my friends.

*EDIT* Can anyone go back through the video and blow up an image of the kid? When you intially meet him he is not fully a child... theres like a vapor/image behind him, I wonder if it looks like Harbinger.

If you go to the Citadel and look at the Refuge shrine thing on the other Docking Bay, there's pics of that kid's face. Weird, right? Not sure if it's relevant, just thought I'd give it mention.

Here's what Joker says (approximately):

I’m late to the party but
the girls are coming home with me.
That was for Cortez!
I wasn’t going to let you
guys have all the fun.

Anyone care to infer what that might mean besides him blowing up some Reapers?

That's the most important question of all, isn't it?

I honestly don't know. I think this is where BioWare needs to jump in with DLC.

That's indeed the million dollar question, really.

I still think this aligns with our hallucination theory. It's quintessential Joker! If Joker were going to say something, it would be hilarious and rah-rah like that statement is. I think BioWare may have cut it because, if the indoctrination theory is correct, it may have taken away the feeling of unreality that they were attempting to convey about the scene.

Joker is on Earth and there is no time for the Normandy to get sucked in to a relay and crash land.

It still seems like it would be Shepard trying to make himself/herself feel better. Before, Arrival has any of the Repears actually ever directly talked to you?

Sovereign he talked through a machine and Saren only.
Harbinger only talked through the collectors. Till, Arrival.

Arrival => Shepard sightly indoctrinated.

The Rachni seem to have the same ability so it is safe to assume Rachni are the ones that created the Repears.
The Repears and The Rachni can only talk to people via a medium or through indoctrination but the Rachni queen never really had the ability to use indoctrination so maybe it is a feature of older more ancient Rachni's

No Cortez is shot down at the last battle. This happens before the beam hit or what?? I'm so confused.

How do you justify that? The rachni Queen specifically states in ME 1 that the Rachni war was due to the "song" being distorted...more then likely meaning Reaper interference...sorry but I highly doubt this...

When Shep shoots the tube in the "Destroy" ending the kid vanishes into air, which kind of supports the idea that Shep is pushing the Reapers out of her mind.

Here's something. Go ahead and play the files:

End03_Shepard_Alive_Fem.bik
End03_Shepard_Alive_Male.bik

These can be found here if anyone isn't sure:

Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\Movies

If you look carefully you can see what appears to be power cables and metal along with the rubble. Could these be the remains of the conduit? The design of the cables (silver with black banding) seems familiar but I cannot think why. If what I'm seeing can be confirmed, it could mean that the conduit is destroyed, leaving the question of what destroyed it?

It also appears that Shepard isn't just surrounded by rubble, but actually buried beneath it.

Ok I've been away from this thread for a few days, I see it's becoming a monster, but I was thinking about that kid today...

If this is NOT a dream, and we're actually talking to the reaper conscious/mastermind/whatever, why the hell wouldn't it be more interested in Shepard's choice? It's seems obvious that the child form is to induce sympathy for the reapers. What about everything this kid says? Why would Shep believe ANY OF IT? Oh you're the reapers, and you are going to give me the choices for your destruction or salvation? I don't buy it.

Why does the kid's slight aloofness/focus on control or synthesis suggest a it's a hallucination? Because it's really Shep who is making the choice in her head. The kid is the voice of the reapers, trying to play off her desires to save the innocent, and to choose to keep the reapers alive (in any form) with control and synthesis.

I mean, how would Shep actually know that choosing destroy would kill EDI and all the geth? Because the reapers say so? Bull****.

Total dream. Has to be.(insert all our other points we went on about previously here, lol)

Don't know if this was already mentioned, but remember when space kid was being evac'ed before he died, how no one helped him onto the transport? More possible evidence that the kid never actually existed.
