Well some of us at least want a chance at a better or different ending so I hope that is ok/

Of course it's ok to want that. I just hope for my own sake that they don't change the things about the current ending that makes me think it's a great ending for the bigger themes.

The only thing good about the current ending is the soundtrack - and I hope they don't change that either.

Assuming (and hoping) it is real...tim would still be alive. and something tells me, he actually managed to controll the reapers to some extent (they definitely managed to control their ground forces as stated in the sanctum mission)...besides..to everyone owning the artbook..it mentions "how the final room could have looked like if you fought the illusive man's forces before reaching him" or something like that...anyways..the interesting thing about the corresponding picture is the fact...that it shows reaper ravagers amongst the other bodies. ravagers...tim's forces?

the soundtrack throughout the game was amazing, I've played quite a few games and mass effect is the first series to ever make me cry... just a little.. dont tell anyone lol.

Two part post, posting from my PS3.

Now remember in the Synthesis ending, how Joker is still a fragile, limping man, even though he's now part synthetic and at "the final evolution." In a hallucination, Shep would see him no other way.

And for the Destroy ending, Shep once more sees that same hallucination, but this time, instead of the hallucination ending with his death (and indoctrination) he wakes up as he overcomes it.

So of course no one got "the ending they deserved!" The Reapers are still attacking! It's not over yet!

Whether this will be solved in DLC or a new game remains to be seen.

Yes, I like this. Makes complete sense why he would still be limping! Well done, if IT turns out to be true then bioware are some of the grandest of storytellers of our time! :)

Another hint..

so, apparently TIM is able to control you when you are at the control panel.

But later, the godchild tells you that he never had any kind of control and was being controlled himself.

So how could he be able to control you, make you shoot Anderson? Did the reapers play along to make him think he had succeeded? But why would they do that?

You can DL it if you have the collectors edition, don't know if you can buy it right now.

No problem, you can listen to the soundtrack on YouTube, and it has many tracks that are not included with the Collector's Edition.

Yeah, but if I download YouTube videos I feel like I'm stealing. It'll do for now of course, but I'd like to be able to put the music on an mp3 player so I can work out while pretending I'm Shepard. XD

Something big happened here. Up until this point TIM wants control and opposes the reapers. TIM starts to find ways to control husks..substantial breakthroughs occur. The reapers attack and destroy sanctuary. They are clearly on opposing sides. The next time we see Illusive man it as after assaulting whats left of the cerberus main base

The line is drawn here----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the other side of the line we have
Tim allows Kai Leng his opportunity to kill shepard. Up until this point Leng was told to avoid killing Shepard if possible.

Tim shares intel with the reapers- Even if TIM wanted to control the reapers this is a moral event horizon. He crossed the line by sharing intel with the enemy

TIM- has bonifide reaper tech by now. We dont know when it happened, but we can say he has it after sanctuary based on the video

TIM sacrifices cerberus!- TIM is cerberus. If anything would represent paragon in TIM's head it would be cerberus. TIM wants to save humanity..thats his M.O. even if its misguided. In me2 TIM says as much *cerberus is humanity*.
At this stage cerberus is fully dematerialized. Shepard sitting in the Illusive mans seat is as strong an image as one could come up with.

Slowly but surely everything that defines TIM is deconstructed, until it all comes to a head. TIM, the man who loves humanity the most, the man who sees both himself and cerberus as humanity, begins to fundamentally change his entire belief system. Suddenly Humanity must evolve to a higher plane. Suddenly control and taking abilities from the reapers was key. I wanted to ask him how far he was willing to go. He was merging with the reapers under the guise of control. At this point I was waiting for the words * more than human* to come along.

Alas my shepard started getting to him...the logic bombs started to work. The rest of the encounter is a chilling recount of ME1 and my conversations with saren.

Toss enough logic bombs at saren and he starts to question himself. Then suddenly he gets angry and accuses me of undoing all he worked for . Later on he commits suicide as the only way to end the voices.

The best songs in the soundtrack are really just

Leaving earth
An end once and for all
The future of krogan
The fleets arrive
I'm sorry

Well those are the only ones I listen to anyways.

Oh and that trailer "the war begins" also has really good music. :)

aside from a hologram (which can easily be doctored to those who view the transmission to make him look like normal)

Citation?
Has anyone in the history of mass effect ever doctored their hologram appearance to be inconsistent with their actual appearance?

Not directly but if you look at the fact that (On Mars ME3) the Illusive man sets down but to Shep and Liara he's still standing there. There really doesn't seem to be a need to show what is actually on the other side to the ones viewing. Purely specualtion however.

Honestly you have less proof about them doing a sh*tty job than we do about the IT. Your theory should have a name too, how about: The sh*t parade theory?

Uncalled for. I prefer to think of my theory as the "rushed product" theory, because that's what I believe it is.

Can you prove that Mass Effect 3 was not the result of a rushed product?

I know this post is kinda old, but nevertheless I want to respond. The creator of the Final Hours said that he did NOT have the impression that anything was rushed and that the ending was written months before. If we believe this statement then they did not scrap the idea of indoctrination but were experimenting how to implement it. In my opinion the way IDT suggests they did it would be the perfect (and maybe the only viable way to include the indoctrination of Hepatd in the game.

This is what I was trying to explain GBGriffin all last night. I refuse to believe bioware would simply give up on an idea because the mechanic wouldn't work right.
