Bringing down Cerberus was 12th labor of Hercules in Greek mytholgy. Cerberus was a three headed dog who was the gate keeper of the Underworld. He decided who could enter and leave. Specifically, Hercules had to bring Cerberus down without a weapon.

OOOOOooooooOOOOoooOOOooOOOOOOOOoooooOOOO!!!

I am not sure whether Atlas mechs can actually be punched to death ... ;)

They can. I've done it on my krogan a few times.

Hi Again good lads of this forum I am back again after the embarasing reveal that what I taught was a good hint and a sneaky cameo proved to be an alliance bloke...

Anyways I sounds great that pax is coming closer hopefully there is a place to watch the event live if possible...

I watched this and played the earth mission and when at 25 seconds and harbringer started singing I can never take the reapers seroius againg:(

The same thing happende when Sovreign started to sing in Me1

How are you supposed to take great god like sentinent machines dropping death in earths orbit and turning the earth to ash while they sing touch me touuuh me now!!!

Anyway I got to say one last thing!

Of topic of cours.... please dont hate me Im having a bad day and feel like I need to make people laugh abit!

My shephard walked towards this guy in a bar let the video speak for me!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYybS6fNrzU&list=UUXY0CWvz9lWRx-A9wWqRSqA&index=2&feature=plcp

I love Me series a bit to much it seeems but hey Im not doing anything dirty with my artbook...

Another Me aspirant on the galactic channel Youtube said this

"The reapers don't want total galactic domination guys...
they want another race to be friends with them. They want us to take
them on, they're just bad at communicating it. All the other races in
the past got hostile, and it takes them 50,000 years of crying to feel
better.
So hug a reaper. Stop a war."

And with that I end The day with another reaper song remember guys the dark space voyage is long so one of them turns out rainbow sirens Harbringer starts singing take me on and they all act like flowerpower kids in the 90ties coming home singing from a party! But today they end up in the wrong house the place we call earth

Try taking them serious know!

No! It only reaches its potential when it is over 9000, however unlikely that is.

Shepard can convince TIM to kill himself. In Greek mythology, Hercules undergoes the Eleusisian Mysteries.before entering the Underworld to battle Cerberus. The Eleusisian Mysteries refer to the cycle of Persephone; death and rebirth.

That means we'll still have to enter the Underworld. Sounds cool, I guess.

Was the Illusive Man's reference about humanity finding the relays and advancing humanity X years and that humanity was not destructive as aliens had percieved something that was said or a choice to say by I think Shepard in ME1? Just adds the reaper indoctrination speal at the end.

Just a little clarification, it seems some people still dont trust what Rifneno wrote in one of his previous posts.

I've checked it myself, for what it's worth, and can confirm that it's true. The device used by Shepard in the choice 'Control' is composed by objects named "end_choice_BadA_01".
Yes it's just a name, but being a developer myself I can tell we usually name an object according to its use. So in my opinion it's a quiet important hint.

Thank you! I really wish that got more attention. Not because I found it (at least here), because I really think it's significant. Why would they name it that unless it was really intended to be a bad choice, and why would it really be a bad choice if the "catalyst" is being truthful?

This is the thing you use for the control ending. Look at those pillars between the electricity. Got a good look? Okay.

End_Choice_BadA_01.

Since we already had a fake of a similar image, don't take my word for it. Go download UE Viewer, it's freeware, and check for yourselves.

I cannot wait to hear the theory opponents explain this.

:o I <3 U!!!!

Doesn't prove the theory, but it does give a HUGE hint.

And how does Shepard fit into it? Personally I think the Reapers want Synthesis but don't know how to achieve it. TIM was manipulated into thinking his research initiatives would offer Control whilst unknowingly doing the necessary research to bring about Synthesis. I think TIM figured all along that he could manipulate/control the Reapers right up until the end. It was only then that he realized he was indoctrinated and couldn't control the reapers, even with all of his technology and implants. So he needed Shepard to do it in the end because Shep wasn't indoctrinated (although the Reapers were attempting it on him.).

Yeah, that was a brain dump. Just throwin it out there! Feel free to ignore. Posted Image
The reapers are a product of synthesis though. They know how to achieve it. they turn the most valuable species during each cycle into a reaper core (ex: human reaper) and then it is the basis for a capital ship or a destroyer.
Well, the problem I have with that, is that
a) I am unclear about what the reapers gain through synthesis
B) I still don't believe its anywhere near possible if you don't consider cyborgs like Shepard the product of synthesis.
They're kinda like the borg? They add this cycles uniqueness to their own, therefor giving themselves an edge. Considering the original story reason the Reapers were doing this, was to gain an edge to discover how to stop Dark Energy from mad bombering the stars un our galaxy.

Why they would want it now, not so sure, unless it's just the perfection goal...

Well, we can always see if Tali left some drinks for us at the Bar ;)

But to be honest, it is really disturbing how that game keeps you busy. I have actually never spent much time at game forums before Mass Effect (and I play video games since the age of 12), and now I keep coming here every day ...
