Uh, just to set things right. I was just pm'ed on the subject of why i am regarded to be an indoctrination theory sceptic (which i am not). I was told, that many of you do not understand what i'm saying due to the lack of proper grammar in my posts. i understand that and would like you to know, that i am folowing/and writimg via mobile phone. typing alone is very time consuming and paying attention to proper grammar or spelling even more so. i will however pay more attention to it, since i do not like being held for an it hater. i love that theory. also i am merely studying english literature in germany...ia m not a native speaker, so while i will do my best from now on, there may still be some mistakes, hell i'm sure there are a few within this post.

condensed: sorry for my gramatical errors im using my phone.   :)

its ok, I use my phone sometimes as well.

Here's my primary problem with the whole theory presented in this thread (other than that whole 'simplest explanation' thing):
If this theory is correct, and what we saw wasn't the actual ending... Since it is what we have, that means they were going to try to sell us the actual ending as DLC. The game wouldn't actually have had an ending until we paid for it.

Note the use of past tense, in light of announcements from Bioware. I can't even imagine the crapstorm they would have gotten for the above, were the theory in this thread true.

The DLC will most likely be free for people who have the alliance network. But you do have point and that is my only peeve about the IT. However i'd rather that the IT be true if the alternative is space magic.

Garrus, Tali, and Liara are the best. Because they were the ones that actually supported Shepard the whole time. Unlike those two pieces of crap from the Alliance. I'm only sorry that I couldn't leave them both on Virmire.

The saddest thing of them all is that we, the fans, came out with a theory that actually makes a little bit of sense from THAT ending. Even WE! And we're not being paid to write stuff...

Another sad thing is that the whole game doesn't make sense, really. The ending is only the trigger for the outrage. When you start thinking about the quality of the Reaper invasion plan... it's just ORGANIC. Lots of mistakes. Why not block the relay transportation, if it's your technology (remember the Omega relay requirements). Why not block the long-range communications?

If they crippled our transportation, the would have the time to slowly travel system by system and carefully exterminate every race they wanted...

And if all the Protheans were able to do was to create a backdoor to the Citadel, then the Crucible being constructed and improved cycle by cycle has to be a trap and therefore Shepard should see that in the ultimate second and stop from using it.

Ehh... shame.

ITB; yes your honour, this man has no brain!
peck: Im gonna kill you
ITB: well thats what i heard
NB: what do i do here?
NB1: all i can say is that the ending made no sense to me
ITB2; sir, i have only played through the game once, but i have to tell ya, Ive seen s**that will turn you blue!

i dont believe in your theory. does that qualify me to be ******? cause i would seriously take offense by that.

no, you are a non believer.  A walter peck or ****** :) is an IT hater whos one and only purpose in life is to hate upon those who like the theory and try to dismiss it as nonsence, when out of all the theories (space magic, lazy writing etc) it is the only theory that makes sense out of a very choatic ending.
note: i like the term "******" for the ti haters, we should roll with that.

The only real way to cut off relay trasport would be the Citadel, but then again I see you point. They could have just stationed reapers at each relay spawn killing ****...but then we wouldn't have a game :P

I wonder how many more ghosbuster quotes i can use for this.

Starkid:  Don't pick destroy.  It would be bad.
Shepard:  I'm fuzzy on the whole good/bad thing.  What's bad?
Starkid:  Imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.

...  It still would've been less ridiculous than what he did say.  :(

we could pick destroy
wait a minute, you said picking destroy was bad.  Your gonna endanger us, endanger our fans who were quite happy before they became rabid.
no i think there might be a small chance we could survive
(slaps his mates head)
I love this plan, Im excited to be a part of it, lets do it.
This is definitly not worth another sequel.

At least a dozen (if not much more) oppenents of this thread have stated the exact same thing. All it does is prove that they didn't reach much about the theory and have little knowledge as to its actual arguments.

This theory posits that the distribution method could either be A) a patch/update, B) a patch/update on PC/unlock on Xbox/PS3 disc (least likely and mostly debunked), or C) a free DLC in the vein of the free DLC content provided through the Cerberus Network for ME2, meaning that it's free for people who bought the game new, providing a massive twist and anti-piracy measure simultaneously (this is thought as the most likely method).

In other words, they don't have to SELL it to us if they make it free content through Alliance Network (or whatever it's called for ME3) or a patch/update. Which, if it was planned beforehand, would have been accounted for in the budget for the full game.

As this thread is over 1100 pages now, I haven't read every post. So if this has already been mentioned, pardon my ignorance.

I think there may be some truth to IT. That said, as a point of evidence that I haven't seen mentioned before is when TIM shows up on the Citadel and forces Shep to point his gun at Anderson. As Shepard raises the gun towards Anderson, Anderson raises the same arm at Shepard.

I realize that if a gun is pointed at someone, they may raise their hands as an instinctual defense, but from my first play-through, I found it interesting that the arm Anderson raises would be the same arm Shepard holds the pistol in.

Just my observations on an element in the games last minutes that seem to fit with hallucination or IT of the games ending.

I currently playing the overlord DLC in ME2 and i have to say it looks exactly like the planet the crew crashed on in the ME3 ending. It even has 2 moons like the planet they crash on. It now seems a bit odd that the Hammerhead VI would point out pleasing views of the planet. Its a military vehicle, not some civilian tour bus.
